It did, I found it. Of course the dress I really liked on there takes at least 5 months to ship. Oh well, I just have to keep looking.

Laura, I don't know if your resort offers this - but I've heard of people chartering a boat for an hour or two for the guests between the wedding while you're of getting pictures done - our resort has a glass bottom boat that costs ~$20 per person.

Also, I have been a guest at a few DWs before and hanging out with the group at the pool bar or somewhere like that was fine, everyone was happy and we had fun as a group together, then we met at the restaurant for the dinner.

Don't worry about entertaining everyone! They'll be OK:)

I tried to go over this with my FI last night.  Guys just don't get it. First, he doesn't think we will need more than an hour for pictures (we have 40 in our party).  Second, he thinks we will just figure it out once we are there to which I replied that it will definitely take over an hour if we have no order to which pictures will be taken.  He wants to start with bridal party first, but I feel like we need to start with family so that they can go back to their rooms if needed and I won't feel rushed with the bridal party. I want it very structured b/c I have been at weddings where pictures take forever b/c there is no organization and people are just saying "who is next? ....We ended the discussion with me saying "I guess I will just decide this one as well..."

I just told my FI last night, that though a lot of the planning is done with the coordinator once you get to the resort, no one realizes how much is actually involved in a DW!!!  It is A LOT of work (well I think so at least).  I reminded him that usually (especially if I would have had the wedding here in town) you have a wedding planner on board and you don't have to worrying about all these little details b/c they do it for you.  I told him I AM the wedding planner for our wedding.  It is a lot.  And even though you have a TA, you still have people (espcially family) calling you about flights and travel arrangements b/c they feel more comfortable asking you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
