Just the 2 of you will be so nice, there has been times during this planning I wish that we had just eloped.  This is the 2nd marriage for the both of us.

I bought my dress just before Xmas I bought a Maggie Sottero  - Catarina. I love it. I had not planned on getting anything fancy at all till I started looking at everyones dresses on this site.

I am also on the Couples forums, but find more information on this forum.

Have fun dress shopping

We traveled to CSS last year, and fell in love with it!  Actually, my avatar is of their gazebo!  Just so you know, the setting for the gazebo is beautiful, but very narrow which limits your guests' view of the ceremony.  The beach setting is really pretty, too.  I have more pics if you are interested.

I am thinking the gazebo, but I can't decide for sure until we see it! I too have the 10am wedding slot! Here's to hoping for sunny skies for both of us! cool.gif Wow, it sounds like you have some really nice plans! I browse the Couples message boards as well, so I know what you're talking about. Our wedding is only the two of us, but our families know about it, so I guess it's kind of like a planned elopement! I haven't bought my dress yet but I know I need to get to it soon!

Yes, so nice to meet another CSS bride!

sunstarsmoon - that maggie dress is so, so beautiful!!!! i absolutely love it! i am paying for my dress myself so i have a very low budget, but i know there is something out there for me. we've had a few negative reactions at the "it's only the 2 of us" bit, but most people are positive about it.

weddingaway - i am glad to hear that CSS is such a special place! i would LOVE to see more pics - no problem with guests not being able to see in the gazebo, because our wedding is just us! i am so excited to go. it's coming up quickly!

Faraway View of the Gazebo

This is taken from the mineral pool/gym area.  On the other side of the gazebo is the main beach which is in sort of a cove-type area.

Walkway to Gazebo

This is the walkway from the mineral pool to the gazebo.  The gazebo is actually the burst of light between the trees on the right side.

Narrow Path to Gazebo

This is the path just in front of the gazebo.  Notice how narrow the path is!  I doubt that 2 people (audience) could stand side-by-side and still have a walkway for the bridal party to pass.  Something to keep in mind for anyone with a larger size wedding party.

Also, this is where they do the private dinners that cost extra. It is just a single table, you and the view.  Never tried it but it looks tempting.

Weddingaway, thanks for posting the pictures.  When I was searching for a location to get married I fell in love with the grounds at CSS.  The gazebo would make a lovely setting for a wedding, I am having guests and that would not be suitable and I want to feel the sand between my toes lol.

IcedCoffee,  I am paying for my dress as well. I got an amazing deal at a local bridal shop they had a sale on 25% off so I got just over 500.00 off my dress, still more than I planned on spending.

MrsLowUFO - you are right there are not many of us at all!

WeddingAway, thank you so much! It gives me a much better idea of where the gazebo is and what exactly it looks like. You have no idea how much that helped! Thank you! It is beautiful!

SunStarsMoon , 25% makes a big difference, glad you got such a good deal! It sure is a gorgeous dress. Also happy to hear you fell in love with CSS. Sometimes I doubt my decision because of what I read on the Couples message boards (about the beach being dirty and such) and never having been to Jamaica I wasn't sure which resort to pick , but CSS seemed most beautiful to me, at least from pictures.

MrsLowUFO - How did you hear about Couples? I was looking into Sandals and I saw a forum post about Couples. After doing some research, I decided to definitely go with Couples. I have never even heard of Couples until I read that forum!

The same thing happened to me. I had never heard about them and wasn't even sure if we were going to pick Jamaica but then when I looked in to how easy it is to get married in Jamaica in terms of paperwork, etc compared to other places I started to focus my attention on researching places in Jamaica. Since we don't have much in the way of children in our family or with friends we were lucky enough to have the ability to book an adults only, couples only resort. The one reason why I picked CSA was because the reviews seem fairly consistent and good! A lot of the time you will read 2 good reviews, then 2 bad ones, then 1 good one, etc...the Couples name seems to be well respected so I think we made the perfect choice for us =)

I am just dying for our trip and big day! I know time will just fly but right now it feels like its crawling lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
