Postcard Guest Book

Recommended Posts

I am also doing a postcard guestbook.

I had my friend find me 40 postcards when she was recently in Mexico  (some are dated, lol, does noone buy postcards anymore?)

I plan to personalize them on the back with our names, wedding date, and location, but will have them scattered on the table for people to sign. I bought a nice box/suitcase for them to put it in when they are done.

Once home I will find a album for postcards to store them.

my friend got married in Germany and each guest had to fill the good wishes on a card/paper, then these are put a few of  in a small balloons, so many balloons get flown in the air and the tradition in that when residents in town find it somewhere or anywhere they mail it back the the couple mail box...that was so awesome for her so even a year later she still has people sending her the good wishes.

@@linaco80 Oh I like that idea! Very good way to receive unexpected reminders of your wedding day

@@calgarybride2015 I really like your post card idea. I was thinking of using sand dollars and having people sign them, then framing them in a shadow box. However when I started to research the idea I couldnt figure out how to get the sand dollars to stay within a shadow box. Anyway, this post card idea sounds nice.

Oh that's nice. Great if people actually do mail them back! :)

The more I think about the postcard idea, the more I like it. Postcards would probably be pretty light to bring back after the wedding. The heavy part would be the photo book to put them in, but you would do that when you get home.  Now, to find enough postcards...

The postcards really take up next to no space. I have 40 of them and they will probably be the easiest to pack.

I am not going to bring the album to Mexico just put them in it after.

I bought a medium sized box (suitcase/treasure box - not sure what to call it), that I want to store all my memories after that I thought I could bring to mexico for the signed ones to be put into.

You can get postcards on the resort too if you wanted, but I am more the personality to want to travel with it all there and not worry about wedding stuff needing to be completed.

@@MissJen3 luckily I had a friend going to Mexico and she bartered for me. I got 40 for $18

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
