My DH is like most typical men. It often feels like he doesn't have a romantic bone in his body. Today I was feeling sorry for myself and trying to find a way to convince my very logical husband that he really should do something special for our anniversary. Especially after he forgot my birthday this year.

So I went googling and found this article and thought I would share.

Not surprisingly - I'm just as guilty of being unromantic as he is. So my Valentine's/anniversary gift this year is to do one romantic thing a day for the next two weeks.

What are you girls doing for Valentine's Day?

Love that article! However- this one is just creepy

Ask for a lock of their hair to carry in your wallet, purse, etc.

I agree. No locks of hair for me.

I'm spending Valentine's Day alone. My fiance is away working with the military until the end of the month.

Awww Jenne! I hope you're having a girls night or something!

I'm getting FI a shredder, since he was SUPER disappointed he didn't get one for Christmas, even though I got him the shirt/tie for our wedding day! (I thought that was pretty romantic)

We'll hopefully be going to the cottage for the night, which is where we got engaged last V-day!

Sorry to hear that Jenne. You'll have to plan something nice when he gets home.

Amy - I hope you get to go to the cottage. My fiance loves his shredder. Silly men:)

We like to keep it low key for Valentine's day. I'll probably grab a bottle of wine and make us a nice dinner at home. We have a no gift rule for Valentine's, too, because we go pretty crazy at Christmas.
                  Loving married life!

My FI has booked us a couples massage at a spa in Toronto and we'll be taking advantage of the saunas, whirlpools and water therapies too! Then out for dinner! I think he's trying to go big this year, first Valentines as an engaged couple...I guess it's only downhill from here :)
