We are having a Catholic wedding (read: TOO LONG) in the fall so the sun will be setting relatively early - around 5 PM. AND I am seriously weighing the idea of doing a receiving line after the mass b/c I really dont want to have to walk around to every table during dinner. It's so awkward. But the receiving line would cut into the daylight hours and photo time, so I'm debating doing pictures before the mass. Ack so much to think about...

Mine was ceremony at 2pm. Cocktail hour at 2:30-3:30 then entrance to the room followed by the important dances(first dance, bride and dad, mom and son etc.) then after all that the toast followed by some music. We had dinner at 5:30-6:30. We cut the cake followed by the dinner then we did the bouquet toss and garter toss and we were done by like 7:30pm. Music was all in between those spaces =)

      Holy cow that was alot!

I dont think this should be the standard we just had a wedding coordinator who arranged the whole schedule. Honestly I believe you should arrange the hours to what you'd like to do and what you think is best and prioritize the things that you want.
