Master bedroom paint color advice needed

rodent

Recommended Posts

OK here is another question for everyone. I am going to paint the master bedroom & bathroom next week. I'd like to do a soft teal color with orange accents.

I am using my fiesta ware as inspiration for the home colors.

I'm using an orange two shades lighter than the plate, but the blue is about the same

The master bedroom has a tray ceiling. I'm trying to decide if I want to paint it & if I do I'm not sure what colors to put where

here it is now

And a bunch of color options

I am thinking about doing the same colors in the master bath. I can also bring in a beige/neutral and just do colors for accent walls. I am pretty sure I want the closets and the wall up high to be orange. I don't know if I'd do the rest blue or beige. I want color, but I also don't want to over do it & have it look weird. The rooms are kind of tricky because there are so many different walls.

I'm going for a beachy, caribbean feel. The furniture will be dark wood. We'll have just a bed + TV in the master with the dressers in the closet. All the furniture we have now will go in our guest room, so we are getting to start from scratch with the master.

Morgan, I think you should come decorate my house. Cuz we apparently have lots of the same taste and we are obsessed with orange and blue combo. Well, I don't know if you can label yours an obsession, but I def can.

I'm really bad at visualizing (hence the fact we haven't done much!), so I don't really have a decisive opinion on the tray ceilings. BUT I can say that when I watch the home shows and they paint the ceilings, I always love them. So I like the idea of painting it, I just can't say what I would do!

Morgan, I love the color pallet!!

So do you want color on the wall and then more nuetral colors in your fabrics?

Cause you can do an accent wall and bright fabrics. to really bring in alot of color. But if you want all the color on the walls and then you can do more nuetral fabrics and towels, etc.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
