As much as my wedding day was perfect and I really hate to have any compliants, if there was one thing I would say I was disappointed in was the photography. After receiving our pictures, almost a month after the wedding, my husband looked at me was like, wow, some of the pictures our guests took were so much better than the "professional" ones. So if you have the option to go with someone else, I would make the suggestion to do so and I would say the $300 fee to bring in someone from the outside would be worth it. Here's a few pictures from our day. These were a few of our favorties, unfortunately, there just were not that many that ended up in the favorite category.

Photoshoots Vallarta 100%!  Eva and Pierre took care of us all day and Eva was also very helpful in translating for the hair dressers.   Here are a couple of pics from our day...also they adjusted the price for us because we didn't want the engagement/trash the dress session.  And we received all of our pics within a week!!! I plan on bringing my own fire sky lanterns & sparklers... Did anyone have a hard time flying with them? I also want to give my fiancé a valuable gift on our wedding day but I've read some reviews about having a hard time bringing things back thru customs? Anybody experience this?

Lianne, I see you used petals for your ceremony decor on the aisle... Do you recall how many bags you purchased for $25ea. I'm confused as to how many I'll need. I'm having 50 guests & I want to make petal cones for them to toss on us but also want to use them predominantly on the aisle & on all my dinner tables. ( I'm choosing not to go with floral centerpieces because although beautiful, they seem like a waste since dinner is only an hour.) I ordered 25 bags on my contract $500 bucks in petals... Eeekk!! But I'm happy our deposit has been made & our date is set for Saturday 11/15/2014 yayyyy!!:D

I brought the sky lanterns in my checked baggage and had no problems.  I called the airline in advance to make sure. So maybe call your airline to double check.

One bag...that's all they said I needed for the aisle.  I also didn't do floral centerpieces I just used what was free!  It still turned out really nice. I also asked for hanging candle lights above the dinner tables which was also free.  See pic below.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
