    Canadian girls, do you have a good TA/company you can recommend? I've been working with one here in my city, but she's awful and can't get me a good rate at all. She quoted me $5328 per couple for 10 days for a basic room....awful! I can get better rates on selloffvacations.com or expedia.ca, but I want to have everyone book through a TA because they can pay a little here and there, they don't have to put all the money down now. Any suggestions?

      I have just started working with TA Lindsay from this forum. So far she has been fantastic to talk with. Lots of ideas and experience to draw from. She just gave me one quote that was easily in our budget and since we have changed from Nov to Feb I really thought we would have to be changing resorts to keep it in the budget. I think she is actually in Regina too. Good luck!

        Hi Sheri! Thanks for the suggestion. How did you get ahold of her, because I tried by clicking on the link at the top of the forum, and I heard from Tammy, who said she would put me in touch with a Canadian agent, however, I haven't heard anything from anyone yet. It's becoming frustrating quickly! I'm trying another TA here in Regina, but of course I want to have the best rates as possible for my guests, as they are paying to come to my wedding.

          Thanks for the great advice! We have booked our hotel through our timeshare but unless our guests choose to have us book through the timeshare, it will probably be best for us to gather an option of accomodations... hum... something to think about..

            I wouldn't have done a DW without using a TA. Takes most of the stress off of you and gives the guests someone to ask the millions of questions that they all will definitely ask! My TA is a friend and she cc's me some of the questions. People I never thought were high maintenance, turned out to be when it came to just putting down a deposit!

            Plus, if you have a good experienced one, they'll get you the best rates and perks for your business. Doesn't cost you a thing to use them. Also, if something (GOD FORBID) happens where the flights are cancelled, when everyone uses the same TA, they can rebook you and keep your group together.

            They're WELL worth it!

              Krista, my TA is Kelly Bergquist. She is also another bride's on this board.

                I clicked on the banner at the top too and chose Lindsay and while it did take awhile for her to get back to me, now that we are in contact she is very quick with the emails. She works for a company in Regina called the Art of Travel. Her email is sales@artoftravel.ca. Hope that helps - good luck!

                    Hey krista.baird - did you ever hear from TA Lindsay off this site? I had recommended her to you awhile ago. I just had an email today from her office that she is no longer with them! I had talked to her a few times in Dec and everything seemed great and then over christmas I sent a quick email just asking for some help with a vacation once she was back from holidays. And in return I got an email from someone else at the office offering to help me! So I am not sure about the wedding discussions we had...I haven't heard anything seperately from Lindsay yet so I don't know if she is still working or not. And here I thought everything was worked out as far as a travel agent... looks like I may be on the hunt again!

                      Yeah, when I sent my email to Lindsay, I got an email letting me know that she no longer works there as well. I was put in contact with Christine who works there, and she seems to be good so far. Although because of the Christmas season, etc, I still can't seem to get any prices or quotes from anyone. Lots of talk back and forth, but nothing...still....I may just end up having my guests book separately. I don't know....
