I am getting married at the Blue Parrot on November 14! I will post pictures when I get back, but my friend Ashley got married there last year and it was amazing, which is why I chose the BP. They got married in the Beachfront Palapa because the beach was very short then. I was there in March and the beach was a perfect size for a wedding! Paula is great though, and is allowing us to decide once we get there on November 9 to look at the beach and decide. We are then having a cocktail hour and appetizers in the Skyview Terrace, which is upstairs overlooking the ocean. Our reception and dinner will be in the Lounge area and we get to use all of the spaces for the price of one! It is perfect for us and our 45 guests! Let me know if you have any questions!

This was actually the original place we looked at. Paula was wonderful and very responsive. The location is beautiful especially the terrace.

For us the cons were it is not very private on the beach and its right next to one of the major beach clubs in Playa. When we were there last we were at the sky terrace and the club music was really loud.

but the beach club next door is so much fun and everyone could go there after a dinner. You could save money on the DJ than. Also we are having a 100 people and it was very tight for that many people.

Another cool thing they do there is you can have a fire show which I thought was awsome. And also your guests do not have to stay there if you have your wedding there.

Good luck with your choice!

We are thinking about bar/club hopping after our wedding reception on 5th Avenue and the beach club will be one of our stops. When does the fire show come on?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
