I can almost guarantee that you won't hear anything. I waited until one week after the 90 day mark and emailed them and had my TA call them and they said they're not contacting the brides until 60 days now so I wouldn't be hearing from them again for another 3 weeks!

Any word on whether or not they charge per person to have the ceremony on the beach? I am also wondering if any of you know if they charge extra to decorate the hupa in your colors if you purchased one of the packages other than the complimentary one? I could swear that the colored scarves were part of the Amber package....Hopefully, I am not incorrect!

Thank you!

Hey everyone,

For the people that have been there- what kinds of favors/gifts do they have in the gift shop/resort. The website mentioned they have "many different" types to choose from. Do you think there is anything there that is nice enough or is it all junk? Is it cheaper to get it here and bring it? What do you think?

I believe the colored hupa is part of the package, in the magazine ads they show the emerald package and it shows the hupa decorated. I got the Sapphire package, I cannot wait til people start getting married that have the new packages! Ev and Mrs.Eddy's reviews were awesome and leave me wanting MORE MORE MORE!!!!!

The gift shop is EXPENSIVE and Cigars are a very expensive so I would plan on bringing it from home. I needed aloe vera and I kid you NOT it cost me $15!!!! So bring whatever you think u are going to need. The White hupa is free and to get the colors added and flowers its like $350 (I just got a quote 2 weeks ago) I believe with the package its free, but I did symoblic and and doing the add ons- that way I am not stuck to one color theme.

Hey

i know the WC's dont contact you until 60 days before your wedding, but i also know you can send them details of everything you want, so they can look into it for you. i've got 6 months until my wedding and i have sorted most of the details now.

just send them an email with your details of your date and time of wedding and what you want (i.e. beach wedding location, cocktail reception location, menu, private event details location menu, photography package and photographer request etc etc) even if they don't reply, they'll keep it on your file and will try and get you what you request

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
