as it has been stated before in this thread, usually it is credited IF you book the rooms via a group contract. sometimes the resort will make exceptions but you need to ask them or have your TA ask them.

I do my bookings through a wholesaler AND get the provisions written into the contract.

I have had them give us the credit w/out the group contract but it is not guaranteed. it is reviewed on a case by case basis. AGAIN, we always get the free credits, upgrades, complimentary events written into our group contract.

I read tons of reviews on the pro's and cons and just decided that I would shoot for the moon and be happy if I got a pretty dress that fit! I put a link to the dress I ordered below. :)

Hi everyone! I'm a May 29th, 2010 Moon Palace bride and I'm having a Catholic ceremony. Is anyone else doing a Catholic ceremnony? Has anyone else had experience with Fr. Aguilar? Is he the priest people are saying has poor English? Also, did you pick all of your readings beforehand and submit them to him months in advance or did you do that when you got on site?

I have seen nothing but good reviews, they said they just did weddings at Moon Palace in November and December, I really hope those brides post their pics!

Yes, I was impressed with the pictures too. What I like especially was the husband-wife team... The prices were very reasonable and you don;t have to pay for traveling cost.... That is why I chose them too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
