I know a few people might end up wanting to stay longer...so I decided stay at DRC up until night after the wedding, but will go to a Secrets resort to avoid everyone, even the kids for at least a few days

I didn't really think anyone would request to book 7 nights. i assumed guests would know that it's polite to stay 2 days after the wedding tops....but alas, someone has asked to book a 7 night trip. I guess I should take it as a compliment, huh? ;) I mean, on the other hand, I am asking people to travel to Mexico FOR ME (and the dude), so I shouldn't put a limit on their stay if they want to make it a vacation....hmmmmmm.

is anyone else thinking about things like this?

Depending on whether you are planning on trying to acquire group discounts through group booking or individual booking, both options are available when you have a travel agent. A good travel agent should be able to provide you with pros and cons of each option!.

Hello.  I’m new to the thread …I would love some help with the planning. I’ve booked my wedding for April 19th 2013, so excited! J

  • What will the weather be like in April?

The ceremony & cocktail hour is going to be on beach.

  • Does the beach hoopa and white drapes come with the Ultimate Wedding Package? Or do you have extra?

The reception will be on the pool terrace.

We’re having a small wedding, 15-20 people. I’m from England, so a lot of my family and friends can’t come.

  • Is anyone having a small wedding? What are you doing for your reception? I’m not sure if it’s worth the money getting a DJ and dance floor, or we could just go to one of the bars at the hotel … all ideas and suggestion welcome J

I am also doing starfish. I found some perfect royal blue ones that I'm going to spray with glitter paint.....Another bride on here did the same, she didn't say they were held up at customs though.  Maybe because they were painted.....I'lll ask her.  GREAT QUESTIONS THOUGH!!

Fiance and I decided not to ship anything, after all of your advice.  I'm now trying to figure out how many suitcases we will need.  5.5 months to go!!  I am so excited.  :)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
