Hello!! How much were you quoted for the cigar roller?? Also how much were the updos per girl?? You paid for them??? Thank you!
The cigar roller was 400-my husband got into it with them during the cocktail hour because they tried to put a limit on how many cigars we got-they ended up giving us more-they never specified anywhere how many you get so you might want to get that info squared away-we tipped them too-it was like 110 or 120 per girl for hair and make up-and yes we paid for it along with the dresses and flip flops and barefoot sandals and jewelry-it was our gift to them, sort of a thank you for coming-and since our group was small enough we included all the girls even the few not in the actual wedding party-made it fun for everyone and then everyone was included-luckily we had our wedding on a Thursday and ended up being the only wedding that day :-)

-LED dance floor
-fire dancers (has anyone else had these)?
-bridesmaid/arch/centerpieces flowers etc
-some lighting
-Music I was thinking of just going for the I pod dock to keep costs down? and then using the trio from the package for the ceremony rather than the cocktail hour? (has anyone done this)
- Photographer it says on the form I can add hours on for $99 Has anyone done this?

anyway for all the extras I am budgeting for about $3500 am I being to optimistic?

any help would be great with this? x

You are being VERY optimistic for budgeting $3500. I was too until I got there and saw our tentative invoice. I was like OMG! Lol. We had the 'Ultimate Package' and ended up paying close to $8K - not including the resort's photographer (we booked Del Sol), additional decor we brought with us and of course, our room/travel expenses. Yeah... We were shocked how "exact" they are. Also, keep in mind we had 46 guests and EACH guest over the 20 included in the package were accounted for (ie. champagne, cocktail hour, dinner, cake). They make sure of that!

This is the extras we had (that I can remember):

  • Gold tiffany chairs
  • LED dancefloor
  • DJ for 4 hours
  • Sound system for ceremony
  • Bamboo poles
  • External vendor fees
  • Welcome dinner

Hey, Thanks, we have a budget of around £15000, which I think it about $24,000 in dollars, but a lot is going just getting there! there are 27 of us going (5 just book this weekend so I know it will go up now by around $500) but we couldn't use any of their deals for rooms with us coming from the UK, plus we are having a party when we get back which is quite expensive, I may have to change some of the things which i wanted (like the fire dancers) Thanks again :) xx

when they say we get 20 people does that include the bride and groom? xx

You should do that. My husband was through... He like WTH! Lol. I keep telling everyone that destination weddings are just as expensive as having your wedding local.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
