The price of my wedding stayed the same. They would not honor the rates I received for any older resort. $2000 seems pretty high. Here are some of the land only rates I received:

4 Days 3 Nights:

Premium Garden View Room$522
Premium Deluxe garden w/plunge pool $573
Premium Ocean View: $621
Club Level Ocean View w/Jacuzzi: $720
Club Level Ocean Front Suite w/plunge pool. $918

5 Days 4 Nights:

Premium Garden View Room $688
Premium Deluxe garden w/plunge pool: $756
Premium Ocean View: $820
Club Level Ocean Front Suite w/plunge pool:. $1,216
Club Level Ocean View w/Jacuzzi: $952

7 Days 6 Nights:
Premium Garden View Room: $1,020
Premium Deluxe garden w/plunge pool $1,122
Premium Ocean View: $1,218
Club Level Ocean Front Suite w/plunge pool:. $1,812

Hope this helps.

Wow... seriously! Between the US/Canadian dollar conversion that is still pretty great... however, I think flights from Canada cost more unfortunately d/t farther distances and not the same number of demand as say Americans have sad.gif

So happy that you have booked there though... Please do share *any* and all details!

There is a new thread that has combined the previous three (hoping this thread will be added soon too). It is:
Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

There is some information on there and a couple of brides that have already booked for 2010.

Good luck on your planning.

  • 4 weeks later...

I had a really hard time getting in contact with the WC at DRC..... I did just book my date on Monday and I spoke with Cecelia (She is the WC for Dreams Cancun). Claudia is the current WC for DRC and I was told she was out of the office this week. I had to be VERY persistent because it took more than a week to actually speak to someone. Call the number and ask for the wedding coordinator. I know Claudia is very busy, she is also the WC at Dreams Cancun and is just filling in for the time at DRC. Try contacting the WC at Dreams Cancun.... they can help you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
