Need an amazing beach location...

Hey All!

 

I've been glancing at this forum for a while now, hoping that someday soon I would be able to post and plan with everyone. Well I finally can! Yahoo :) I'm officially engaged and trying to get a location figured out. We are looking at Feb 18, 2011 for a date. Most of the family is in WI, friends are all scattered around country, and I live in Washington DC. I want to get married ON a beach, that is my only non negotiable item. The rest I'm pretty laid back on...ha ha at least so far.

 

There are three possibilities so far...

Cozumel- love the area and scuba diving. many options for the guests in surrounding areas but a little concerned about beaches, maybe too rocky?

 

Mazatlan at Emerald Bay Pueblo Bonito-hotel is gorgeous, went there a few years ago but not a ton to do in the city

 

Punta Cana - know the least about this destination. Was in Puerto Plata and loved the DR, but Puerto Plata's beaches weren't that great, lots of stuff washes up on them.

 

If anyone has any tips or amazing places I should check out, please send them my way...I feel a little overwhelmed at this point...but REALLY excited at the same time :)

Congratulations! My FI and I just got back from a trip to southern Florida to check out beach wedding locations. We wanted to avoid the hassle of passports and also give our guests the option of driving to our wedding if they so chose. All in all we visited 8 resorts and took tons of pics. I would be happy to share any of that info with you, just let me know!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
