What do you do if a dress you love is only available online?

Recommended Posts

It is the same dress!! I remember it being an Essence of Australia and i loved that designer. I don't have any pictures of that one because of the don't buy no pictures thing. I can tell you it's a gorgoreous dress though, really light and airy. My hesitation was with the straps, they are jeweled and were pretty itchy for just the few minutes I had it on but that's also because they were really long and loose on me.

I wish I could take you to NC so you could try it on, it's really such a lovely dress!

I don't recommend buying online when you haven't tried on and the reason I say that is the dress or style of dress that I "thought" I would look good on me were terrible! I ended up getting something that was not at all what I had in mind. Shopping by pictures and actually trying them on were two totally different things for me. However, I would say that if you know what style to stay away from and what looks good then that would minimize your chances of getting something and not liking it.

That dress is gorgeous though....very tempting. I guess if its returnable and you can't resist then you have nothing to lose.

I bought my dress without trying it on. I saw it online and just knew that I had to have it. I did try on a whole bunch of dresses first though and knew the style that I wanted before I placed the order.

My dress isn't in yet, so I can't tell you how it turned out! I'll let you know if I still love it when it gets here.

The store that I bought it from gave me a great deal though - They said that if I order it and I hate it when it comes in they will let me purchase another dress from the store. I know this isn't a very common policy but you could call around and see if anyone is willing to do this for you.

Good luck! I say go for it!

I love the dress. I say buy it and if it doesn't fit you can always sell it. I am sure one of the brides on this site would buy it if didn't fit. I love the way it hangs...BTW I can't wear Maggies either. I really like them but they don't look good on me.

Congrats on finding the dress! I guess it doesn't matter know, but I was going to ask what the return policy is. If it is a no hassel policy, just buy the dress and if you don't love it, return it.

I know the dress I was in love with for months ended up looking so blah on me, and I ended up getting a dress that I was not in love with in the pics, but it looked fabulous on me!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
