Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Brides??

Recommended Posts

Honestly it may be true but I had sooo many people with me we always had a large conversation or shenanigans taking place. That said there is also theme nights. One night after the show they had dance lessons in the lobby, etc. And the disco was always packed. I had no issues being entertained. If you were just a couple it may be quiet if you don't venture to speak with new people, etc. But in a group there are no worries imo

Being with a group aside this was still the best we went to for entertainment thru day and night and people out and about. Most discos have like 2 people from my experience. So for me overall I noticed a positive difference at the GS.

I think you'll also find with so many people and so much going on you tire easier. I didn't stay up super later too many nights. I needed sleep!!! Thankfully my kids agreed so I had an excuse some nights :)

Thanks for the responses girls (ladies! :P)

I had a feeling that was why she never respnded to the lights e-mail until now :( oh well....the regular lights looked pretty good anyway.

Thanks for the photos @@calgarybride2015!!! Both beaches are nice..but say I decide to go with the public beach instead...how far is it from the chapel? (walking distance? how long would it take us to get there)

By the way...did any of you find prices that were somewhat reasonable for your guests? With the CAD being so low comapred to the USD, i find the vacation prices for next year to be quite up there. Wondering if any of you used specific websites or travel agencies that got you some good deals, and whether they give you protection in case prices fall.

So I think I'll go ahead and book my wedding day with Adriana :D :D :D

Getting the final paperwork in place right now :D

It's a LONG walk. If you google a resort map the public beach is by the spa and the private by the disco. Basically opposite sides. You'd need to rent the shuttle (golf cart) for the day.

We got lucky that the dollar hadn't dived. Calgary departures paid $1565 and Toronto $1465. I used a travel agent so that's a group price (never found it cheaper online) and we got some nice perks thru Air Canada. We got upgraded to first class which had huge perks especially for luggage and we got every 16th person free as a credit back to us!!!

Worth using a travel agent for those reasons above but also to handle all the bookings and your guests questions.

Bonus is your actual wedding bill is paid in peso!! Less of a conversion shock :)

The public beach is public (they remove the loungers in the immediate area) so you'd have the gawkers if that is going to bother you. We only saw one couple at the private beach and they left right away when they saw the wedding.

Ps - congrats!

Hello ladies

I have a spa price list from 2014, I want to get eyelash extensions for my wedding but these aren't on here. Does anyone have an up to date price list or know if the spa can do eyelash extensions

Thanks

Helen

Helen I can't speak for extensions but they do fake eyelashes for free in the cost of the makeup. Those are just glued on and remove easy. You may have to email the spa or your WC to see if they do in fact do actual lash extensions. May be easier to have those done at home.

Where are you from? I got a sweet deal directly through Air Canada Vacations because my sister works for the airline. My next best option was Tracy from Romantic Planet. Check her out if you're in Canada/Ontario.

My ACV rep is telling me that I can only get upgraded to bulkhead seats. What a rip!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
