Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Brides??

Recommended Posts

Welcome and congrats!!

Playa Neuvo is actually the public beach so will be less private than playa palapa. Not sure you can just upgrade your ceremony location if you have an a'la carte for your reception. If no one else is using it I believe you can.

I'm sorry I have no experience with the Italian but I know it's a common one for brides to use.

I've heard of people using both the snack bar and the health bar. Both with pros and cons. From what I've heard I may lean to snack bar but both would work. Maybe ask your WC which holds the most people :)

We had everything in the palapa so these weren't decisions I had to make. What package are you going for? We took the free package and upgraded to the palapa. It's absolutely breath taking. The location is the one included in the presidential package.

The flowers on the 'gazebo' are included in the wedding packages so no fee.

If you have anymore questions just ask :)

There is a FB group with alot of brides too.

Thank you so much for the helpful information - calgarybride2105

We have opted for the Gold package, and I have decided to choose the Italian restaurant. I was going to change to the Palapa, however we are getting married on a Wednesday, and the Palapa isn't available on Wednesdays.

Anyway, thank you so much again for your help

Your pictures are beautiful btw :)

Sorry I have been so MIA on this site. Only a couple of months to go!

I want to bring my own music to the ceremony (on the beach). We are having a symbolic ceremony. Does anyone know how long approximately their symbolic ceremony took? I'm just looking to plan how many songs I should have prepared from the time the guests arrive/sit down until I walk down the aisle.

If I decided myself I will probably be way off and either have too much or too little....

Honestly mine was fast. We only did what the minister had planned and from the wedding party walking down the isle, then me, then the ceremony and exit was around 12 minutes lol

I had the bridal party, bride, signing, and exit songs picked. Unsure if they played music while the guests waited for me.

I suspect that it was just taken that particular Wednesday. I asked for the 11th, (since our first date was 11/11/11) but I was told it was taken.

I should clarify that the 11th is a Wednesday.

I'm not planning on extras either. Just straight to the hop, now feed us! ROFL.

So I asked Adriana what was included in the sound system and she told me it's no longer available. DJ or bust. I'm thinking of investing in A Bose and bringing my iPod. DJ isn't expensive really though. I have a friend who offered to DJ if he comes which would be amazing. But I'm not so sure he'll come since his ex is too and that is a whole awkward story.

Oh wow! I didn't realize they had taken that away. The DJ was very reasonably priced in January and then you didn't have to worry about it. Thank said there are some wedding DJ apps you can use too if your friend doesn't come!

We were also going to buy one of those Bose Speakers (and it will be great to have for the deck at home). So that's my plan for the music for the ceremony, I just hope it's loud enough/ sound quality is decent enough especially bc we will be outside on the beach.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
