Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Brides??

Recommended Posts

Ah that's good then!

My first choice was the Grand Bahia Principe but when we went to book it on the morning that the holidays/weddings got released for 2015, it had sold out within the hour! I went into panic mode and chose the GS without really looking at it previously - well we had looked at it but it was much more expensive than the Bahia so Id dismissed it. As it turns out the GBP had hugely put their prices up so way more than the GS so fate worked its way for us. And now I cant wait!!! Im hoping that this next 6 months flies by!

Prices are interesting.  We also priced out the Coba and it came back over $2000 PP for the 7 night all inclusive package (I think your packages work similar to ours)      After the fact though, I am also happy with the GS. Sometimes the posts from the other GBP brides seemed it was a bit disorganized and I never felt that way with my planning. I do believe it is different for everyone though and luck of the draw!

I got the 2014 prices as I booked then, I assume the same for you?

GS is closer to Cancun than the GBP :) there is another plus LOL!!!

Yes please any pointers would be appreciated Calgarybride2015.

I have a question with regards to upgrading packages from Gold to Presidential - it says that the Pres one includes a reception on the beach.. is this actually on the beach or is it the Palapa? If the beach how is it set up & where? I really fancy this but have no idea what it entails & don't want to pester the WCs 6 months out

Thanks

If you can look at your photos the day before you go home - do!

So we had to look at our photos Friday evening and we left Saturday AM. I HAD to choose which ones I wanted in the photo book so I had no time to really process which ones I loved or not.  So I found I put a lot in the book I didn't love and missed some I truly loved.

Also double check photos hahah on our signing page we have me signing and the best man!  Not my husband. Kinda funny.

Just annoyed that they don't take care when transfering pics over - my group photo was too large for the spot they put it, so instead of cropping it they just cut people off/out of the photo.

i am not sure if your packages would be the same as ours (if you went thru your TA not GS) ... but from what I remember the Platinum package was for the beach and the Presidential package was for the palapa.   Honestly, email the WC and ask - I bugged them all the time, that is what they are there for.  I would recommend the palapa over the beach just for weather, solid wood dance floor (no extra cost to pay for a dance floor), etc.

Also, I know a lot of brides love the pres package but for us it included A LOT of fluff we didn't need.  Since we used the free package (silver) and upgraded, I in the end got what I wanted and still paid less than the pres package.

I just have a quick question what did you put the music on for walking down the aisle and first dance, as they specific they cant download them over there. I asked WC and she said send it as a link not sure what this means. Can anyone help? we were going to put it on usb, ipod and cd's is this ok? thanking you in advance jo x

I didn't bring mine so not sure. We just confirmed in our meeting they had the right songs and versions of those songs -- one she found in utube to play me - so unsure if they use utube for ones they don't have??

Nonetheless I never provided them with anything other than the names of the songs I wanted and it went off without a hitch.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
