He said he could drop the price to $820 if we didn't have the fireworks and the smoke and bubble machines. I just emailed him yesterday to ask if he could go even lower especially since a few people have said they paid a lot less. I laid it on thick too haha. I said I've read so many great reviews and really would like to have him as our DJ, which is true!! I haven't heard back from him. I hope he isn't mad and now doesn't want to do our wedding!!! I mean if he can't drop it then I'll have to figure something out. This is the highest quote I've heard for a DJ from any of my friends.

I think that the price always go up each year, but with destination weddings on the rise, brides will pay the extra money for a good DJ. It's usually only $100 more, but I would ask why the hike in prices...that's steep.

Have you looked at others?

Yes Missy have an amazing time and enjoy every minute of it!! Can't wait to read the review!!

Shannon--Didn't really look into any other DJs since Doremixx has gotten so many great reviews. Still haven't heard back from him about the price hike though!! To go from $650 to $900 is a little much in my opinion!!

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend!! I did way too much partying haha. I need to start this wedding diet thing ASAP!!!

Heard back from Doremixx over the weekend and he said the best price he could give is $800. He said this is the price for next year. I don't know what we're going to do yet but we'll probably just spend the money and book him. I want a good DJ and they seem to be the best!

Yes it feels nice! I still feel like I have little things to organize. I have this month to organize the oot bags and I want to get started assembling luggage tags..

I am currently looking to get personalized travel mugs made for OOT bags. All I'm doing for the OOT bags are itinerary, welcome letters, photo albums, postcards, uhh...I cannot even think! I think thats it. i had decided I didn't want to do them but.... I really need the mugs cause thats the only real tangible thing...I did want to get pens too but I haven't.

Anyone know where or IF you can make personalized waterproof labels or cheap personalized mugs?

I also DO have so much for the AHR....I need table numbers currently!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
