We're Booked!! Sandals Negril March 2011!!!

Recommended Posts

WOW I can't believe I just got us booked for Sandals Negril for March 28th 2011 !!! Only thing is we have booked a room that I have not seen a picture of rolleyes.gif. Uh oh! Its the 'honeymoon penthouse ocean view one bedroom plantation suite with whirlpool'...man they have long names for the categories! LOL. Has anyone stayed in one or have a pic I could see so I'm not freaking out!! haha

I still cannot believe they have released the rates & I got in before the sale ended! Soooo thrilled.

I'm so excited but no one else is...I'm like 'woo hoo were booked', and everyone I tell is like 'oh thats nice', even him!!! sad.gif

Is it just because It's so far in advance? or did anyone else get this response?

xx

CONGRATULATIONS, jamaicabride10!

I am sure you will come across a pic. of your room at some point, somewhere! And even if you can't find one, just rest assured that it's Sandals, so I am sure it will be phenomenal! Plus, I think it's great that you are booked so far in advance...it will give you the opportunity to save money and lots of time to take care of all the little details that will make your wedding uniquely yours!

Look at it this way: I just booked my wedding (@ Sandals Grande Ocho Rios, Jamaica) for May 14, 2010 just about a month ago, and even though it's still so far away, I feel like I have to sort of "rush" to make sure that we've got everything on our checklist in order (ranging from choosing flowers and organizing OOT bags, to selecting our monogram, invitations, scheduling flights, pre-planning our at-home reception...aaarrgh! Tick-tock, tick-tock!)

It's also a really great opportunity for you to simply enjoy being engaged to one another, as well, and March 2011 will be here before you know it! Just being a BDW member so far in advance will give you plenty of fantastic ideas to work on, and will certainly keep you busy!

Thanks girls!

Yeah I definitely feel the benefits of this site already! I'm already copying & pasting ideas into lists & (like you Christie) suddenly feel the urge to 'get organised'!!! lol, ah bless us...what will we be like closer to the time if we're this bad now! hahaha

I think the only reason I felt comfortable booking without seeing the room IS because it's Sandals, so fingers crossed x. To be honest I'll probably be spending all my time on the beach anyway..that is the reason we're going to Jamaica after all :-)

  • 4 weeks later...

We are booked for april 2010 and at first I was all over the WC for details, but have since put it on the back burner. most everything sounds like it is done when you arrive and the rest is chosen a month or so ahead. I am thinking of waiting to finalize....any words of wisdom?

What do you mean you got in before the sale ended?

Are you talking about the 60% or something they have right now? Did you book directly wit h the resort? or a tour operator...our wedding is at RIU Ocho Rios, but Im hoping to honeymoon at Sandals Negril-we're waiting on our sunquest rep to get back to us with a quote.

***UPDATE***

Marie the 'sale' I was talking about has a count down timer, but I didn't know that as soon as one finishes...another one starts!!!

SO, I have since been checking the site every week and low and behold...a better deal was on the other day 60% off, free nights & other stuff. I called to get the rates adjusted down & ended up saving $500!!!!!! OMG I can't believe it!!! Also I checked the rates on the UK site (just in case)and they only have rates until 2010. The same room for our week in 2010 is working out to be €1000 MORE!!! So glad I booked on the US site, even though I am not from the US. Apparently the UK site does not give you the best rate guarantee eitherhuh.gif It is working out wonderfully!!!!

Also I got a pic of the room & it is identical to the Romeo & Juliet but without the pool! I'm delighted! A TA on the facebook site took a pic of it for me when she was there a couple of weeks ago! Very helpful I must say, considering I am not her client! :-) :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
