    How Annoying Melidell!

It's not quite as cold here in Jersey as it is up by you, but we are supposed to get more snow this weekend - we have had SO much lately!

I love Vegas - FI's never been - i keep telling him there's a lot more to do than gamble - he just needs to see it for himself. My friends are going in July (i know HOT) for my BF's 40th bday - I just need to see where I am financially before I commit - and I really want to go with FI before i go again with friends...

Tomorrow is my last day of work - I am SO HAPPY!!!!

We also did the Hoover Dam tour while we were there. We had a good time. There's so much other stuff to do there besides gamble. Just don't make the mistake of going there in the summer when it is scorching hot!! The weather was perfect there in March
Oh wow I didn't realize there was so much to do other then gamble and see some shows, and I heard the shows are pricy so you don't see to many. I am so happy to hear there are so much other things to do. My MOH said whenever it's her turn to get married she wants to get married there. Now I am so excited to go there lol.. especially with all the pretty lights.
thanks for the info!!! :) I definitely wouldn't go to the desert in the summer, it'll for sure be a winter thing lol.

Mel that sucks about the mugs. I'd been looking at the same site but could just never settle on anything. I've been trying to work through promopays.ca but their replies are VERY inconsistent lately. They've got one guy who handles western canada and he'll email back most of the time when I send in a question, but he doesn't answer very clearly with much details. So then I have to reply and request some clarification and I never get it either So while I could totally get some decent prices through them (maybe not as good as discountmugs) it will take a while to sort things out. I have to say however that promopays.ca has much better selection than discountmugs so I'm hoping that we can work something out.

And another update here... I was whining and bitching about my friends the other day who were totally keeping any details about FI's bach party from me, and laughing because i was getting upset. Well a g.f. of mine (who is attending the wedding with her b.f.) who is also in my office brought u p FI's thing when we went for coffee this morning and she flat out told me that she wouldn't be giving me details either. So now I'm even more annoyed because nevermind that the people planning it are keeping me in the dark, I have a strong feeling that in the email to all the guys they made sure to tell everyone to keep it all from me as well! At this point I'm feeling so let down and it's like no one else could care at all because they're all in on it.

I know that the girls might still be planning my party sometime the same weekend but nothing is for sure yet and right now I honestly want to tell them NOT to book it then so that I can ditch town and go back home to Ontario for the weekend and hide there. I honestly just don't get why they're so set on even telling me where they're going! It isn't like I can't be without him for the weekend, and it's not like I've never spent time apart from him.... I just always knew where he was!! And I'm feeling like I'm taking this WAY over the top now because its bothering me so much and I feel guilty that I want to say Screw You to all my friends who are attending our wedding and doing all this planning!! What a mess this is!!

I'm not much of a gambler, either, I mostly want to go for the shows and the shopping. I've heard that there's so much to do!

Yep, the mug thing was annoying. I've found that it's been little things like that that have been the biggest PIA, though. Strange- and to be fair somethings that I thought would be hard or a pain have gone really smoothly. That's life for you.

ETA- I agree- this weekend thing and not telling you anything is getting a bit out of hand. I don't blame you for being stressed- I'd like to know where FI was going to be also, to be honest.
            Loving married life!

FI and I sometimes have to spend weeks apart (Sucks but sometimes that his job) But I always know where he his, so I understand where your coming from.
I agree- It's gotten out of control. Put your foot down and let them know this isn't how it works, at least not between the two of you.

Maybe you should tell them how much this is seriously bothering you. Hopefully, they will at least agree tell you where they are taking him without telling you the details of his party. I think that is a fair compromise.

Speaking of Vegas lights… These are my two favorite pics that I took in Vegas.

I have to admit, the shows are expensive, but there are other low cost and free things to do like the fountain shows at the Bellagio and Mirage hotels, light shows at the Fremont Street Experience, the rides at the Stratosphere hotel, etc. Also, if you are willing to sit through a time share presentation (and are able to say NO), they will offer you discounted tickets to shows just for listening to them for an hour or so. The FI and I got $80 off tickets to a Cirque Du Soleil show. Another tip… If you want to try the fancy restaurants, most of them offer Prix Fixe menus (ranging from $40 to $80 per person); it’s basically a set menu and they usually only offer them between 5pm-7pm. It’s a great way to try the restaurants without spending $150 per person on a meal. OK… Enough about Vegas.

Well the crappy news was that I'd already told my friends that I couldn't believe they wouldn't tell me and I was completely serious when I said that I wanted to know. And still nothing.

The GOOD news is that I've got the very best sister in the entire world. We talk all the time and are really close so as soon as she figured out *something* was bothering me she called to find out. I was a little hysterical by that time but as soon as she heard the way people were acting and why I was so upset she pretty much instantly told me exactly where the guys were taking FI and what the general part of the plan was for the weekend. I started feeling calmer almost instantly just because I finally knew!!!! My sister felt so bad that I'd gotten so upset and she said she never really understood either why everyone was going out of their way to be secretive.

I feel so much better now although I'm still not sure if I'm terribly happy with my friends of course! I'm just going to try and let it all go now since I got what I was after in finding out where he'll be. And I'll be damned if I'm the one who ruins his surprise after all this mess!!

Thanks everyone for putting up with my freaking out the last few days about all this! This is probably the first real insane moment that I've had since we dealt with FI's parents about five months ago! Let's hope that's the end of it!
