Can pix be retrieved from an old broken phone?

My old phone broke, I trashed it and now have a new phone (same sim card). There are some pix that were on my old (old meaning a month or so) phone that if I can, I want to retrieve- they never carried over. I didn't think it was even possible but am now seeing on line that it might be. Does anyone know if this is possible even though my phone is gone? I was thinking maybe they can go into my account somehow and finagle something, ? Cuz you know how sometimes they can retrieve text messages that were once there??, so thats kinda the same thing I thought. Before I call AT&T I wanted to see if anyone had any insight. Thanks.

I'm assuming if the pics were saved to the memory of the phone itself than there probably is no record of them....OR if they were picture messaged they MIGHT be able to be retrieved....but I'm pretty sure it takes a lot of work and to retrieve old text messages they really only do that in emergency situations.

But why not call just in case? It's always worth a shot!

i had a similar situation and although my provider is different (I have verizon) when I purchased my new phone they hooked up my old phone to this machine and transferred everything to my new phone. my old phone was broken as well. if you have time one day I would pop into a retailer and ask about it there. its worth a shot, I know its so awful to lose those pics!

You actually have to have your phone and buttons have to work. So for pix they have to actually be able get to the pix, they don't need to see it cause they know what buttons to push but if they don't work then they can't. Or if your phone was freezing, or continuously restarting they wouldn't be able to get the pix either. For pix they go in and have them all saved to your card, the machine they use is for contacts.

i guess it must be different from provider to provider because "the machine" transferred not only my contacts, but my custom ring tones, pics, music and calendar. and I switched phone manufacturers and I still managed to get all my stuff.

You got all your custom ring tones and pictures from Verizon Frank? I'm so jealous and bummed! I messed up my phone and got a new one and lost all of that stuff. I had to return the phone when I got the new one through the insurance!

Honestly I was shocked I got to keep all my stuff! in the past when I have gotten a new phone at best I could retrieve contacts. I just started paying for insurance...my new phone is not the most functioning piece of equipment.

verizon must have just got new stuff! cause i buy a new vzw phone at least every six months and when I got one in Feb they couldn't transfer my pics w/ the machine, FSIL is the saleswoman we always go to so she gets sales out of us and her boss loves us so he gives us AMAZING cell deals!

But for vzw you should go online and put in the backup thing, some phones you can back up w/out having to get online, so if your phone is crushed or lost or something happens like it keeps resetting (they have to be able to turn the phone on and have it be stable for a certain amount of time to tranfer) and they can't transfer your stuff its all backed up on your acct

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
