Good point. Can you imagine how stressed you will be if this goes on much longer, especially in the weeks leading up to your wedding? I'd say that Courtney came up with a great way of talking with her. Seriously, if she can't step up then she needs to be honest with you. You need someone to support you and not to add stress!

That's nuts! You shouldn't be having to do all this extra work. I strongly agree with the last sentence to that quote!

*Side note* Why is her boss paying for her kids to go...?

She works from a Dermo..they make alot of $$ and don't have kids. They are always paying for her kids to do things. She's worked for them for like 15 years.

Already, she's skating on thin ice with you, AND she asks you to do the research for her? Oh dear. She obviously doesn't know that she's crossing the line so as Courtney suggested, tactfully let her know that you're going to have someone that has less responsibilities step up to help out with the big stuff since she's going to be with her daughters probably a good bit and even add in something like you know yourself and you'll probably need someone to help you run through some mental checklists before and possibly during the ceremony. I mean, you're going to be a bride in full blown 'this day's gonna be perfect' mode and you need one of your girls to be available to have your back fully. As long as you word it right, no feelings will be hurt.

The passport thing.... ay vey. Please just urge her to get on that now and tell her some of the horror stories of it taking longer than anticipated and well, then you're short a MOH.

Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
