A box of kittens....

I'm being a foster mom to a small litter of kittens for the weekend. (The shelter I work with doesn't have a permanent foster until Monday.)We think they're about 3 weeks old.

They are sooooo incredibly cute! I'll post a picture in a little bit.

It was just bath time so they're still a little damp.

Thanks for letting me share-I've never actually fostered before, I usually just help out so it's kind of exciting pinkie.gif
They are adorable and you are wonderful for fostering them :)
I foster Kittens for my local shelter often (I haven't this year though, due to the Wedding and my budget being tight :-( )
However, if you have any questions...You can e-mail me. I can try to help you. Kittens are really easy though.

Last time I fostered I had four and they were the funniest little furballs you ever wanted to see.

Anyway..enjoy them, because before long you have to give them up and although it's the hardest part, it also makes you feel good to know that you got them awesome homes! :)

Good luck!

Sad news update on kittens. I had to take Sue (the gray one) to the ER last night. We don't know where they came from or their condition prior to the shelter and she was severely dehydrated and lethargic. We decided to try and save her and hospitalized her with I.V. fluids. She is doing better this morning but we're still not sure.

Inky, Blinky and Clyde are thriving though. They're such little cuties. Hopefully little Sue will get to come back soon. I will probably end up keeping them here longer than the weekend until a more permanent foster can be arranged so they have a more relaxed atmosphere than the quarantine at the shelter. It's a cageless shelter but when they're that little they have to be kenneled. Here they have the run of the bathroom and a nice little box to cuddle up in.

I'll update when I get some news!

Some new pictures...

awww, that little orange one is adorable.

when I was growing up we always had cats. I remember one of our females had a litter of kittens and when they were just a couple weeks old she got hit by a car. We had to bottle feed all 4 of them and ended up keeping all of them, they were the sweetest kittens. I think part of the reason they were so sweet is because of the bottle feeding and the human interaction they had from the time they were really little.

good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
