Dreams Palm Beach?

Recommended Posts

maybe you could "accidentally" spill a nice neutral color paint on one of the walls while you are there & force them to paint the rest wink.gif LOL. Let me know what they say about taking the art work down off the walls too. I think what would be perfect is a terrace or something, But i havent heard of anything like that at this resort. If you see or hear of anything like that when you're there, please let me know!

This resort doesn't have any terrace. Thats the one downside to dreams PB vs PC I think. You can use the poolside though.

Where are you ladies finding the pics of the ballroom with the purple walls?

I am bringing my own photographer from home, but I would say 90% of the brides use HDC photo and are happy with them. I also booked DJ Mannia and am super excited about it! Their reviews are unreal. As for flowers, I am using angelsaccents.com. They are "natural touch" flowers so they arent real but you would never know. They look beautiful & are more practical for the whole destination thing. A ton of brides go this route, and angelsaccents has quality stuff. I should be getting my proofs from them sometime in the next few weeks. i will make sure to post a picture so you can see!

I have seen pictures mostly on the facebook page, Dreams Palm Beach Brides. (if you havent checked it out yet, you should! there are a ton of pictures!) and from what I heard from Yeisy, you do not get your choice of ballroom, so I cant be sure I wont end up in that room. I wonder what the are by the pool is like. Do you know which pool it is? I would be concerned about the lighting mostly. Do you think a dance floor would be needed? I am trying to avoid having to rent one since they are so expensive!

I don't know much about the poolside location I just know that its an option. I would think you wouldn't need a dance floor though. The only place you would really want to rent a dance floor is for a beach reception and even then its not necessary. I think I'm gonna have beach reception without a dance floor. Just dance in the sand. As for the lighting, I was wondering that too. Especially on the beach. They must string up lights or something if you have having your reception beach or poolside.

How long before your wedding did you start booking everything like the DJ? Was DJ Mannia pretty reasonable? Since we just got our confirmation, I'm starting to plan a little more, so any direction anyone can give me would e greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I haven't seen any pictures or heard any reviews on a Pool Side reception. I really want the Beach reception and the pool Side would be my 2nd alternative. I have a feeling they do it by the Preferred Club Pool but either way with a DJ I just wonder about noise for people in nearby rooms.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
