Why does email take so long at Dreams?????

Recommended Posts

Try not to stress- there was at least 4 weddings there last week. Yesica can be frustrating, because you wait so long for a reply and then you're not even sure if she answered your question! Having just been through this, let me assure you that they do know what they are doing. I stressed over every little detail and at the end of the day, none of it mattered! I had a beautiful wedding and the resort was perfect. I agree, most of your questions can be answered here. I would just fire off e-mails detailing what you want, and when you're actually down there, have a check-list and go over it with Yesica. She will get a little better as your wedding date draws nearer.

I am so glad to see that I am not the only one!!! Yesica does take at least 2 weeks to reply to my emails as well. I am still trying to nail down my date and since it is in September this year I am getting a bit nervous!!! Thanks ladies I will just try to be more patient.

I worked with Yesica for over a year planning my wedding and she always took a bit of extra time responding, but then again almost ALL of the vendors were like that. 1st of all Mexico is a bit more relaxed than it is here, so expect that there might be a bit of a wait for an answer. If you really need an answer on something then call Yesica directly at the hotel. 2nd of all, all 3 wedding coordinators at Dreams are SUPER BUSY. There is a wedding a day pretty much, and every bride expects the WC to be doing everything perfectly and working only for them....well that's not the case. Yesica is juggling alot of brides at one time, and on days that she has weddings on the resort that bride is her first priority (as it should be..you will want the same thing when its your day). Just be patient and give yourself alot of time to plan. Also just remember that everything will be perfect, and it will come together in the end. Before your big day when you get to Dreams she will sit down with you and go over all the details with you so that you can figure out last min details.

I don't think I was conversing with Yesica, but perhaps it was another WC at Dreams. I emailed her about securing a date and got a very fast response and within 48 hours we'd made a deposit. However I did not receive anything to sign either, just a confirmation of our date and our deposit which I'm fine with. I figure I have so much time so I won't begin to worry about anything yet. I have heard that you just have to be patient since they are so busy!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
