Any other brides for Rose Hall Resort?

Recommended Posts

I have a date at the Riu Tropical Bay, but came across the Hilton Rose Hall and fell in love with it. I sent a RFP but haven't received any info back yet. Any pricing you can send me would be really appreciated. [email protected]

I think there are a number of choices at this resort, so I'm hoping I can make it work. I'm expecting 75 - 100 people.

The pictures are so great my Dad has committed to pitching in some $. YIPPIE!

Hey Ladies,

Just checking in. I wanted to let you know that I just emailed a bunch of you with the Wedding Catalog, Menu and pictures from RHR. Hope the planning is going well for all of you.

Quick question...is anyone else having trouble hearing back from the resort? I don't know how many wedding coordinators they have but we have been working with Charline. It is taking her almost a week to get back to me every time I email her. Any suggestions?

I think she was out of the office on vacation for a week or so but has returned now. It seems like she works until about 7 CST, so my emails usually come between 6 and 7. I've gotten quick return around then, it might be a good time to try and call.

thanks I hope that helps

Tauri--Thanks, I am going to have to try again...she is probably just getting tired of my 20 questions in each email! wink.gif

Angie--I haven't been to the resort, but from the reviews I've read it is kid friendly without the cheese of some of the other resorts, like Beaches. They have a pretty big kids club. Check out the reviews on tripadvisor.com. Hope this helps!!

Hey ladies...

I've been MIA lately... but I wanted to sneak in a quick question!

So... I've reached my year out mark today. I'm updating my timeline and want to make sure I'm in the right place (so far I booked the venue and photographer).

What checks should be finished, accomplished, or even being considered with 12 months out? When do we normally pick details like flowers, music, etc.

Any help would be appreciated!

Panda-

You probably don't need to be worrying about your details for at least 6 months. I actually have a call today with Charline to finalize our menu, etc and we are 2 months away!

Angie-

I will email you now with the pics!

I reserved the Rose Hall today! My date is May 28, 2010. I'm super excited and so happy I changed resorts. Nothing against the Riu Tropical Bay, I just think the Rose Hall is a better fit for my group. I get nothing but ohhhs and ahhhs when I mention it!

Now I guess I'll channel all this excitement into bridesmaids' dresses and a dress for me too!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
