June 2010 wedding at the Riu Palace

    Cermony on the beach
    Mexican Restrant (closing the whole restrant down).
    We have so far 56 people booked so thought the terrace would not be big enought. Any questions feel free to ask me. I have done alot of research on here!!!!!!!!!

        I just e-mailed Daniella about the reception and I really didn't get a straight answer. Here is what I am interested in. I want to either have the reception on the beach or on the terrace of the mexican restaurant (6:30-11). I know that it will cost an extra $500 (I am not interested in renting out the whole restaurant). I just want to know if it's possible to rent an area on the beach with a dance floor and maybe speakers for an Ipod. To do this would it still be $500. Also, if I rent out the Terrace is there enough room for dancing and speakers for an Ipod?

          Sorry....I realize my last post sounds like I am all over the place. OK....I am interested in either renting the beach area or renting the terrace. Can someone help me with that?

            No worries: Here is what danella sent me:

            If you want wedding dinner on beach it is a private dinner event
            the cost is $500.00 + the cost per meun per person. There are three different meuns $36.00, $46.00, $56.00

              No worries! Here is what she has told me

              If you have it on the terrance it is $500.00 for second seating 8:-11:00) or $1000 from 6:30-11:00pm you can get the wine and draft beer and meun of restaurant. If you want open bar they charge you which is $15 per person per hour.
              The terrance has a small dance floor and 2 speakers for cd or ipod.
              The terrance holds 60 people.
              If you close the whole restautant you need 60 people or more it is $1800

              If you have it on the beach it is pivate dinner event which is $500.00 + the price of the meun per person the meun prices $36.00, 46.00 or 56.00 and the same with the open bar.

              i have read on a thread that someone had it at the terrance tiped the waiters and the brought there guests drinks.....

              other threads have said can go to cosco when you get there and buy bottles liquor. You are allowed 1 bottle every 5 people after that it is $20.00 per bottle.

                  You are amazing Kimmy!!! Thank you so much for the break down. I can not open the attachments because I don't have enough "points" would you mind sending the attachments to my e-mail? It's sjfreimark@yahoo.com. What colors are you having for your wedding? Where are you going to have the reception? We are trying to be a little frugal so I don't think we will do a beach reception just because it looks like it will cost a little more. I think a dancefloor with speakers would be perfect. Are you going to do anything for the centerpieces on the tables?

                    Ok i will sent them to you. I am DOING a teal and golds, creams. The colors of mu monogram. i will be posting pictures soon of all my planning stuff. My girls dress are great. They are: twobirds bridesmaid I am getting the peacock color. My dress is ivory. I am doing centerpieces waiting to hear back on a price i emailed Mazarte Floral heard good things about them they have great ideas on there web site. Check it out. At frist I was going to walmart and casco and get tall glass vase and put limes in the with candels. I really am waiting to see how much the florest is going to charge me then i will see what i am going to do. I will email you all the attachments.

                      I can't wait to see the pictures!!! Those colors will look great together. Very pretty! How many bridesmaids are you having? I was looking at the cake attachment you sent me. Are you getting a round cake or a square cake? What flavors? I don't know if I want to the bride and groom piece on the cake. I was thinking rose pedals would be pretty. What do you think?
