I have thought about this and initially I didn't think this would be something I would be to concerned about but recently we received a really nice flute set that says Mr. and Mrs which I think would be so nice in the photos and also a really nice cake cutter set.  I think that it would be a nice touch to have them there that day especially for our close friends to see that we are using them on that special day.

Received a set from a good friend who is unable to attend the DW. Otherwise, I don't think I would have gone out of my way to purchase them.

I've seem some really pretty monogram ones that I feel like I would totally use again for birthdays, holidays, etc. but not sure when thinking of other things that money could go towards.
