Wow! You ladies put things in perspective for me because I am getting exactly one month before you Tori!!! So I am not too sure how many days left I have, but I know tomorrow will be exactly 5 months til our day!!! I am a teacher so I have been trying to get as much done this summer as I am going back to work soon and taking a night class.

 

Jennifer, did you put your booklet together in word? Would you mind sharing it with me? Running out of time to focus on things like that as all my energy and creativity will have to go into my own class prep. Wedding planning is more fun.

 

In regards to how we are handing out our Oot bags, we get in late on Jan 1. and some of our guests will already be there. So I have already asked at the resort if we can reserve a large table for breakfast and we'll do a welcome breakfast, let people know ahead of time.

 

So the swim bags, were found at La Vie en rose right? for a 1$ Not at their Aqua store?

Our la vie en rose has 1/2 aqua half regular so I am assuming they would have them too!! I don't know where the closest exclusively aqua store is....

When I heard about the $1 bikini bags at LVER, I called our local store and she said they had two kinds...one is a dollar (she said they carry them all the time) and is basically like a ziploc bag...the other is $9.95 and looks like this...

I just read through the last couple of pages here and laughed. I was all depressed at first because my credit card is like bleeding right now but I loaded up drugstore.com anyway everyone on here is like yaahh loving it and then you guys are all like noooooo beware of drugstore.com and i'm like eek, click the X button.. lmao!

 

If there's one thing I'm going to put my foot down on about is the frigging delivery of the bags I want it done by the cruise line, they said they would deliver each bag to the guests stateroom for $1 per bag, but that it may not be delivered until after the ship sets sail which is fine with me. I want my guests to go back to their room and be all like wow what's this? And discover the little treasure trove bag of goodies, especially the embroidered or engraved stuff I am putting in our Groomsmen/BM's bags. My other plan is to mail stuff to the hotel in Florida (I haven't talked this over with the hotel yet but in my dream world they will be very nice and hold a couple of boxes of my stuff for me for a couple of months) where we will be staying the night before getting on the cruise. Then when we get to Florida that day I will assemble a little team of people to help me put stuff together, but my FI and I will personally stuff the Groomsmen/BM bags cause I'll put lil gifts for them in there.

 

Stuff I am planning to mail: Bubba keg mini mugs - I only have these for a few of the guys, not for everyone. The cruise ship isn't all inclusive so we don't shop for mugs but on the stops you need a nice thermal drink holder. Also my avon aloe's are a great size but also kinda heavy. I am counting on those flat rate boxes the USPS has? I have seen them! My only wonder is will I be able to mail stuff from Maine to Florida without having a maine address? I do have a friend with family in maine if I need an address but could I put my Canadian return address ya think? I suppose I should be asking our yankee bride friends. Also my pashmina's take up a ton of space, will probably mail those.

 

I don't even TELL my FI most of the stuff I find on here that I immediately "HAVE TO HAVE" for my OOTS! I totally know what you guys mean when you say you need oot interventions! If he only knew he'd be banning me from this site. I do talk about you guys all the time and all the great ideas I get from here, I usually start off a sentence to FI about "The destination wedding brides online said..." and he's like  - example - I had no plans for sewing kits til I saw Tori's, then scoured three Michaels' in two different provinces til I found them! FI is happy I am hunting down like, $2 advil and not like a $10 item which I need to buy like 30 of. It adds up though. I put all of my oot expenses in an excel sheet and so far, with NO bags yet.. lol.. it's scary. So far I have:

- a few of the advils

- the lil sewing kits for ladies bags

- flip flop manicure sets for the ladies' bags

- pashmina's from the NY wholesale person (love the quality and color of these - now I wish I had gotten two colors )

- bubba mugs for the guys

- a newsletter/'facebook' thing that I am in the process of making in publisher

- lil first aid kits from the dollar store

- temporary tattoos of a little cartoon drawing of ourselves and our wedding date we got done from a seller on etsy (so cute and my FI is big into tattoos I think ppl will have a lot of fun with them)

- Avon Aloe

- Spf lip balm

- Lanyards with zip card holder - also planning on getting wrist coils in case people have a preference when I do my oriental trading order which I haven't done yet..

- lil dollarstore hand sanitizers

 

There is a couple of more things I want to get like little sunblocks, tums or rolaids, and some gatorade packs, but not much more.. oh oops I almost forgot my TONS OF VISTAPRINT STUFF... like I literally will have a pen, notebook, note PAD, keychain and tshirt for each person. OMG. Now i'm feeling a little ridiculous

 

I do have a question about Emergen-C - what the heck is it? I have never heard of anyone using this?

OMG DramaticAnnie...where do I begin?  At least you have the clarity of mind and desire to do an excel spreadsheet at this point.  I'm too scared...every day I come home and I'm like... "THAT'S IT...I'M DONE...NO MORE!" as I carry another two bags of stuff down to the basement.  And, I'm worried that my employer may be tracking the amount of time I spend peeking at BDW during the work day...can I just tell you that as well?!?  

 

I would also like to know about Emergen-C...like I'm not a big drinker, but I'm thinking it might come in really handy right now.  Also, does it help prevent or get over motion sickness by chance?  I have a little problem with that as well if anyone has some advice they'd like to share ; )  I've tried the little patches behind the ears, gravol, ginger gravol, dramamine, you name it!

MJKH - that SUCKS!!!!!!!  I can't remember what bride initially tipped us off about these but if you are reading this can you please post a picture of the bags you got so when we do go we know what we are looking for?!

 

Annie - I wouldn't worry too much about your drugstore order I am sure everything will be fine

Can you share where you got your pashminas from?  I have been trying to find reasonably priced ones that aare good quality with no luck!

 

And lastly - my only concern for you about shipping to the hotel is that they likely would "not be held responsible" if anything was LOST, STOLEN or BROKEN and that would just be so upsetting to me! All it takes is one young "punk" who works there to see the boxes sitting around for a "wedding" and walk out with one.... it just makes me nervous!!! Anyways as always just my  2cents!
