CANADIAN OOT BAG info...where to shop!

Recommended Posts

I am not sending a pre travel brochure... but i will be handing out a welcome book/Activity book at the airport as people come, as 95% of the people are traveling with us  ( my book has a part one and part two) first half is info and details etc.. about the upcoming week.. and the 2nd part is puzzles, games and fun stuff for the plane to keep people occupied if they so choose.

That's a GREAT idea!!!!! 1/2 our group is travelling the day before unfortunately but it could work for the group that is coming with us!!!!!  My in laws will be on the flight the day before with the rest of the group so I bet I could give them the ones for those people and get her to hand them out!  Don't wanna stress out my MIL but thats likely impossible LOL  neenerneener.gif

Hahahah That's a great Idea!! I am getting my Mom and possibly my sister ( MOH) to help me distribute them.. I will have sticky notes on the cover with everyone's name.. so i can keep track of who i gave them to and who i haven't.. So you could do that with your MIL to make it easier for her... she just has to give the book to the person whos name is stuck to the front of it! :) easy peasy lemon squeezy!! :)

that way they have 5 hours on the flight ( in our case anyway) to look through and read the book... and play games.. and it doesnt cut out of the beach or drinkin time! :)

Ohhhhh...I'm all about the blanket/wrap on the plane...especially when it's -30 at home and you're running into the airport in capri pants and sandals!  What great restraint you showed : )

I love the idea Jenn, will likely be stealing that!!!!!

I remember someone asking about the chapstick labels, pretty sure it was this thread.  Dramatic Annie maybe?! Looking for shiny labels.  I didn't think you could get them but was just reading someones planning thread I bookmarked and she used full sheet glossy sticker paper.  You need an ink jet to print it I think but I thought I would share anyways.  Here's a link to a product I googled really quick but she said she got hers at office depot!  I would redo mine if they weren't already DONE... I just have to accept some things!

Hmmm...never heard of Liquidation world, but it does sound promising! But, I went to Giant Tiger the other day, and it was very disappointing, not as great as I remembered :(

I am going to check out Liquidation world here in Edmonton today...I think other cities in Canada have these. They may have great finds. I am also going to check Giant Tiger...good discount store and I will let you know if I find anything!

Oh don't worry you have GOT THIS!!!!!  For the kids bags, WATER GUNS!!!!!! from the dollar store!!!!! They are super cheap and will be used SOOOOO much!!!!! I would do these for the girl too so she doesn't feel left out!!!! Other option would be inespensive floats, you can pick them up ay walmart for $5 of $6!!!! Mom and Dad can blow them up but gives them something to play with in the pool!!!!! Activity books are a great idea, what about an underwater disposable camera, it may not last long but it would be fun for them in the pool or by the pool as they can't wreck it AND itll be fun for them to get developed when they get home!!! Card games like uno, go fish, old maid the old classics lol these can often be found at the dollar store too for inexpensive, they will be great on the plane, by the pool and in the rooms!  Check the toy section at the dollar store and you can be a HERO for a few bucks each child!!!!

Question about the bikini bags, at the first la vie en rose they were $10? Were they not on sale there.... I am going to Toronto to get these Saturday but I want to be sure they are $1!!!! I just love that!!! LOL

Breathe.... Breathe again and SIGH!!!! You are getting married in FOUR WEEKS!!! Get excited!!! It will be great!!!

I know...I feel the same way but I have 183 days to go.  In a millisecond, my brain is being bounced from shoes to cakes to what to make for supper to luggage tags to imodium to what colour tissue to put in my OOTs to clever things to write on my MIL's mug to I've got to get to the gym to which Dollarama I hit up next to I need to check out those bags at La Vie en Rose to remember to call the insurance adjuster about the entire bottle of nailpolish that spilled all over our ivory carpet...AGHHHHHH!  No wonder I'm forgetting my belongings in truck stop washrooms...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
