I am getting married at the EdenH in November and I am unsure what do do about the photographer. I am not sure if I should stay with the photographer in our package or hire outside the resort. I also want someone to do a trash the dress session. Any input or names would be great help!!! Thanks so much!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding. Does your resort allow outside photographers? You'll find lots of great photographers on this forum that might be able to help you out with both your wedding day coverage and your TTD session. Send a PM to anyone you may be interested in getting more info from. Good luck!

I was interested in going with Photo Souvenir for the videography since I am getting married in Punta Cana but my resort does not allow videographers from the same city. I need to find videographers outside of Punta Cana. Help!

I agree with everyone else.. please take some time out to look through this forum for the many, many amazing photographers; some of which are willing to offer some great deals for BDW gals if you ask!
I found my photographer on here who will be traveling down to PC for my wedding week by just looking through all the photog's work on here and speaking with the one I felt fit our style.

As others have mentioned, there are a lot of photographers here on the forum who would love to be of service. Check out their websites to get a feel for their style, and then feel free to contact those you feel might be a good fit.

                  Have fun planning!

                  Best wishes,

If photography is something that's important to you, then I strongly suggest bringing in your own photographer so that you can pick someone who is going to understand your priorities and want to spend lots of time to give you what you want, instead of someone whose allegiances are to the resort.

Lots of times you can find a U.S. photographer that can travel pretty inexpensively and that can save you money in the long haul over hiring someone local or extending the included photographer's time. They will also be willing to plan your trash-the-dress session for another day and their whole time in Punta Cana can be totally focused on you, your day, your experience and creating some wonderful memories for you.

                    Good luck to you!

Something that many destination brides do not consider when selecting their photographer is the subject of a final product, will that merely be a few reprints to be used in decorating around your home or are you thinking of having an album designed and created that will tell the story of your wedding day? Additionally, once you do return home will you be having a reception for all those that could not go with you to your DW? Thus, will you be wanting to hire a photographer for that too? Here is the dilemma that this creates if you decide that you want to crete and album using photos from the two photographers. If you hire a resort photographer to cover your wedding and then a local home photographer to cover your reception which one will you have crete your album? Whichever one you chose it would require that the other photographer would have to release the photos to the other photographer and grant them the rights to use them in designing your album. Many photographers will not do this, they will not want their photos in an album that was designed by someone else. Additionally the photographer who is selected to design the album will not want to put the photos from another photographer into the album that they are designing because their studio name will be on that album. Lastly, anytime you select two different photographers who are not accustomed to working side by side with each other you run a risk that the two styles will be so different that they will not look good together when put into the same album. Best case scenario, take your photographer with you and use the same photographer to photograph your engagement session, DW and dinner, TTD session and home reception. Then you can also use them when and if your family grows in size to photograph your pregnancy, babies and toddlers.

                      Just some things to consider.
