Hi Crystal! Table runners are a really good way to incorporate your colors and add a ton! Plus, they pack well. What is your color scheme?

We are getting married Feb 12, 2010!! Woo hoo!! So close now! We can't wait! Lindsay sent over the final bill this morning, so it looks like everything is done. Our colour scheme is turquoise and chocolate brown. The table runners are chocolate brown and then I also bought chair sashes in turquoise. They arrived yesterday and they look great. I am so excited. I think other than that everything is done..If anyone has any suggestions of things I have forgotten please let me know..I don't want to get down there and have a panic attack cuz I forgot something. So, I did the STD and the invitations long ago. I did the menus myself and got a starfish wine stopper to put on top. For our "place cards" I did votive candle holders for each person. I got our guestbook. I have everything for our OOT bags. I did a welcome letter and schedule. For our centerpieces we are doing submerged calla lillies. and for the table numbers I got another similar vase and filled it with sand and seashells and put the table numbers on each one is spanish. Michelle Turner is our photographer and Lucie Aubert will be our minister. Anything I have forgottenhuh.gif Also, I took my dress to get altered the other day and while it was on me, I looked it the mirror and all of a sudden had second thoughts about it. I read that this may be common about two months before wedding, but I'm really panicked now that I will get it back and still not be happy. Any one else have this happen?

Crystal you really have it together! We printed our welcome newsletter the day before we left... well, mainly because that was Bill's job and he is a procrastinator.

Don't worry too much about the dress, I mean I hope you love it... but it is only one piece of being the "bride." There is the hair, makeup, accessories and don't forget the beaming bride herself! You will be gorgeous I am sure of it!

Crystal, it will be ok!!! The dress will look amazing and everything will be perfect. It sounds like you've got everything under control and thought of everything! We're also having Lucie officiate, let me know how it goes!

Jennie - I love the slideshow! It's amazing how fast Michelle gets those pictures up. Your shoes were super fun and I love your BM's dresses! And you two looked amazing. You must be so happy!

Love to see all the PF brides on this site and kudos to Kate for starting the thread! It's so helpful to hear the experiences of past couples and work it out with others who are planning. I'm in the planning process for our full-takeover PF wedding on May 12, 2010.

 

Here's what I've done so far:

- 6 booked 4 to go by the new year (this is my biggest stress so far!)

- DIY STD's done and sent

- website created and up with booking info

- Beth Lloyd booked for photography

- dress ordered

 

This weekend we are deciding on Minister, live music, and choosing a mini-moon location in PV (any suggestions?). We also are going to book our flights.

 

We are chipping away at the checklist Lindsay sent us. I can't believe how easy and stress free planning a wedding has been so far especially in another country! (knock on wood!)

Hi Kodi! Nice to meet you, I was wondering who was getting married just before me! I will be dropping by one of the days to do my walk-through and tasting, so maybe I'll see you!

 

Sounds like you're more organized than me! I really need to get more stuff done.

Crytstal - You are so on top of it. Congrats on getting so much done! BTW, I love turquoise and brown.

 

Kodi - Don't stress too much about the rooms. I'm sure you'll get a few more by the end of the year! As for your mini-moon, I think moving to Nuevo Vallarta was nice. By then we had already been into town about 4-5 times and just wanted to relax. We stayed at the Riu Palace which was nice. The food is only so so, but the hotel is clean and the service is good (not PF good though!). I know some girls have stayed at Casa Velas and have raved about it, but it wasn't in our budget to spend that much.

 

Melissa - I'm so jealous that you're going to back to PF! Are you going to be there for Christmas then? Have a wonderful trip!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
