Hi! I am getting married June 21, 2010 and have already started planning. I was able to book my venue already but I know different venues have different rules. I am having fun right now getting ideas together for the wedding, so I surely don't think it is too early. Have fun with it! Congratulations!

Never too early! I agree with dennita, the sooner you start researching, the more time your guests have to pay for the trip. That's the biggest consideration to me since I do not come from a loaded family. Broke folk need time to pay for things (and I'm one of 'em).

Just a head's up to the newbies...IF money is a consideration for you, be careful planning around Easter/Spring Break. ALL of the rates will be up considerably around that time. First thing I checked when trying to nail down a new date (this is our second go round) was what date Easter falls on in 2010. It's April 4, with Good Friday being April 2....I'll be avoiding that like the plague. My travel agent advised me that its a good idea to book at least TWO WEEKS AFTER Easter for the rates to calm down a bit. Just a head's up!

Congrats! I'm sure you've got the feeling by now.. but it's never too early to start planning. We have local brides already starting to plan their weddings for late next year.

You'll be able to relax closer to your wedding date knowing that you were able to get so much accomplished early. It's true too, that your guests will love the time to save up too.

Best of luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
