A few pics from RIU Bachata **PIC HEAVY**

Recommended Posts

Hey Lisa...I was thinking about you the other day. I haven't heard from you in a while!!

I know...I'm absolutely terrible. I don't have my review written yet & I really have to get it done soon. One, I'm not very good at summarizes, so it's coming out VERY long. I have one paragraph on our departure & it's seriously almost half a page in Word!! I don't want to leave anything out, but I feel I'm being too wordy too! Oh boy. Hopefully I can get it done soon - you're not the only one bugging me for it!

Oh...and since this is my thread & I can post anything I want, I was wondering if the offer was still there to help me edit some of my pics?? I think you had offered previously in my "I'm fuming" thread! I'm not super happy with my pics & I think with a bit of editing (from someone other than me who doesn't really have a clue what I'm doing!) they could be a lot better. Do you mind?? If you're busy with your wedding plans & life I totally understand, but thought I would ask!! I think I'm going to start a thread asking for help anyway, but thought I would jump the gun here!! :)

Hi Bachata Bride,

I am realy anxious to see your review as well. I am getting married there next month on the 14th. I am so nervous about the reception part of it. I want it to look nice. I've been asking Maria alot of questions and if she can do more for me to make the reception look nicer. So far she hasn't be able too. So am very scared. How was your reception?

i can probably find some time to help out. i don't know how we'd go about it tho ... i would probably need your high-resolution photos on disc mailed to me, and if you have any ideas of what you'd like done to some of the pics let me know. oh and definitely send a COPY of your disc! you don't want to get your pics lost in the mail! i will send you a PM with my mailing address.

Hi Bachata Bride,

Thanks for repsonding back. I was wondering about both for the dinner was it set up nice? Am guessing there was no table clothes and seat covers and center pieces? Then for the party do you know if you can rent the pool side bar and do a party there? I read some other brides did that at other Riu's. Hope to hear from you soon.

I'm not sure about the "after dinner options" - I didn't look into any of them. I know that Sara (saraece) had an ipod docking station & just stayed at the restaurant. The pool isn't open after 7 so I don't think you can rent the bar there as the entire area is kind of shut down.

Yes...there were table clothes & they use the flowers from your ceremony as the centerpieces. No seat covers though.

I am having the same worries as you... I did although find a lady who does private reception parties out there if Maria can't give me any more info...

i hope Maria is able to ease some of your worries, just remember they are very busy and hard working. They put on 2-3 weddings a day as well as meet with all the couples a head of time. Sunday is there only day off so if they don't get back to you right away that might be why. I felt that they were very acomodating and can probably help you with most of your requests. They can get you more flowers for decoration at a cost, but as far as other decor items you may want to bring what you want. I went with what they gave me and was happy , nothing too fancy but that is what I wanted.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
