I sure will, the wedding should be amazing as I am doing a day after shoot as well and the rehearsal dinner the night before. Not so much a day after TTD as I don't really think the intent should be to trash the dress, but get some cool shots in different areas that aren't possible on the wedding day. After speaking with my bride it seems all the construction is completed and Kim and Miriam have been great with there communication with me.

Being as I am new here I will have to check the rules before I post any photos, I will add a DWF link to my blog so I can post my blog site in my siggy, not sure what the rules are on the boards here with posting photos. My bride is not on here so hopefully I will be able to share all the photos and details for all the moondance brides to help with there planning. The wedding is the weekend of April 17th, so I will have photos up on my blog hopefully just a few weeks after that.

Thanks so much for the welcome.

Scott

Hey Moon Dance Cliffs Brides! We are currently debating Moon Dance Cliffs and I'm really excited...one question though- their website says they don't allow children under 12... One of my friends has two little ones and I was wondering if there are nearby places they can stay. Also if they will be able to attend the wedding!!! Anybody else run into this problem?

Not sure of the resorts that allow children. I am shooting there this month, I think it said for children on the wedding day, the parents have to sign a release form, because of the cliffs. Email Moondance, they have been great with answering all my questions and I am sure they can let you know of what to expect or places to stay for guests with children.

I have GREAT NEWS for you ladies!!! My parents just got back from their trip to Moon Dance Cliffs and they LOVED it!! They said that the people are so amazing and the service is wonderful. Kerry already had napkins and everything picked out in my colors to show my parents the samples. They stayed at both the Cliffs and the Iberostar Grand (where I am now having my wedding due to the number of guests that MDC could not hold). My mom is head over heals in love with Moon Dance Cliffs, so much so that they are planning on doing a week there with all of their friends after my wedding at the Iberostar!!! My parents were THE ONLY guests at the hotel so the upgraded them to a 1 bedroom suite which they said was huge and super nice. They said that the workers at the Cliffs were so amazing and that they will now carry around a piece of them in their hearts forever. My mom said even the pool boy took her on a tour around the cliffs and that everyone that works there is over the top friendly and the service is wonderful. She said that everything is done now on the grounds/rooms and that they are now working on doing a sundeck down on the actual cliff area. My mom really wishes I could have the wedding @ Moon Dance. They felt this was the REAL Jamaica where as Iberostar is more corporate. About the drive there, they said it felt like a tour because the driver from Moon Dance Cliffs was talking to them the whole time and telling them all about everything that they were seeing. My dad said his favorite thing he ate during the whole trip was the jerk chicken at MDC. They said that your weddings will be so special and will be beautiful there. Kerry even showed them a book of all sorts of colored lanterns that you can have hanging from the trees and that everything looks great! I will post pictures (I still have not seen them) when my dad posts them to his website. I am so heartbroken that I am not having my wedding there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
