Recommended Posts

Thanks Erin for pointing me in this direction!! Should i be contacting the resort wedding coordinators with my questions now or after my DW is booked? I dont want to be a pain in the butt with all of the questions but also want to know these answers.

Wow! Thank you so much! I've been engaged since November 2008 but don't plan to get married until March 2011. We just can't decide where to get married! Thanks so much. I think this spreadsheet will help me organize my thoughts and make a decision soon! I want to get started on all the fun details :)

Not all properties will allow same sex couples and/or the corporate chain frowns upon such things. Do you have any friends or family that are in a homosexual relationship or do you simply have 2 female relatives that want to share a room? Do you have a personal, moral objection to such policies? *Note that when booking as a group you can sometimes get special permission to have same sex couples
OMG...I had no idea!!! That is crazy!
Good thing this was not the case at our resort...my uncle & his partner came & my mom & aunt roomed together. That could have been a problem!!

Great list by the way!! You're awesome!!

I would contact them now. I contacted WCs at 4 different resorts. It actually helped narrow down my resort choice. For example if a WC wasnt getting back to me for weeks, I might reconsider my choice. Plus you want to make sure they have all the things you want for your ceremony and reception. And the prices do vary among resorts.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
