Holiday Spirit

Anyone having trouble getting in the holiday spirit?

I just can't seem to get excited for the holiday. I usually have my lights up by now, present bought and about to put up my tree. I should be excited to have 2 weeks of vacation, the DIY projects for the wedding I have planned and the fact its a little over 4 months to the wedding.

So folks what are you doing to get into the spirit of the season?

Oh, I'm totally not feeling it. With just getting back from the wedding on Tuesday i'm more worried about sending thank yous and posting pics. I'm trying to still put away my Halloween/Thanksgiving stuff! This weekend we are getting our tree and gonna decorate so maybe that will help. Also need to make some cookies. Xmas cards just aren't gonna happen...

It is my favorite time of the year and like any other year especially this one, I can say the same.

I will make it on a very small scale this year, a small tree and a few decorations. We have a 2-yr old so no need to rob him of the whole experience. Maybe closer to it, we will all feel more merrier!!!

I am feeling the same way. I am in my final exam week of a grad program, so I haven't had much time to enjoy anything at all, let alone getting into the Holiday spirit. FI actually made me put up my tree and lights last weekend because I am usually very into it and he could tell I wasn't this year. I think he was trying to get me into the festive mood I am usually in by Halloween :)

Hopefully after these exams are complete (and the weather here in NC gets cold again) it will feel more like the Holidays!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
