Crazy, Anal Retentive ROR Bride needs help!

Recommended Posts

I didn't get a chance to read through your entire list but here are my suggestions:

Magnets for the AC bracket on the balcony door - your ac will turn off when you open it unless you have a magnet on it - nothing too heavy either or else it will fall off.

Air freshener - a plug in is handy sometimes the rooms get moist from the AC and start to smell a bit.

iPod - if you have an ipod and are bringing it make sure you bring the a/c adapter cord to plug it in to the tv so you can listen. Also, if you use your ipod alot you can buy a charger to plug into the regular plug then use your cord/usb cord to charge it

Snacks - chocolate bars at the ROR gift shop are $2 each YIKES!

Money - if you are the one to tip $1 is all you need for bartenders, maids and you can't get change from front desk...dollar dollar bills y'all!! hehehe

I appreciate that my list is freaking long so I value that you even responded at all. I never thought of snacks. For the magnet would one from the fridge be fine? For tipping how much did you tip? I am planning one dollar bills but I am also wondering about for Chandlyn and bartender, etc. hijacked.gif

A magnet from your fridge should be fine! Yes, munchies are necessary!

As far as tipping, I brought a few things from the dollar store with me. So I gave $1 - $2 and then gave a little something from the dollar store. I tipped $15 to our server at our wedding dinner - he almost fell to the floor he was shocked - we would tip $1 here or there for the bartenders depending on how many drinks we ordered. We also tipped $5 to our favourite bartender who remembered our favourites drinks from the first day we got there. I didn't tip Chandlyn but gave her a gift and I didn't tip Michael...although I should have.

I was working with a very limited budget lol so dollar bills it was lol

I am bringing stuff from the dollar store for the maids (our Jamaican buddy has told us what they like/need there) and maybe tipping them a bit ...I want redstripe in my room..*lol*!. For Chandlyn I was thinking of getting a gift set with perfume (Tan..your review gave me this idea) and tipping her. Bartenders I usually tip right off the bat (pool bar guys will probably get it first) and then again at the end of our stay. This usually ensures you get quick and friendly service :).
I think that will probably be it in the way of tipping except when i return home..I will definately be tipping my TA.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
