Sarah,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Your wedding is so close! That's so exciting! Please post photos when you return.

We are wanting to hire an outside photographer for sure and a  videographers. Who did you get?

I sent an e-mail off to Ana the WC to book our exact date of the wedding while were there and I still haven't heard back. But once we find out the exact date I'm going to start booking people. Where are you having your wedding in the resort? Are you doing a reception?

April

Hi I'm hoping someone can help me! I leave April 13 for my wedding and my coordinator Claudia has stopped returning emails. She has been amazing this whole time and I have been super laid back and didnt really start anything until December for planning. It's been almost two weeks and there are still things outstanding that I need confirmed. I've been emailing the groups email. Does anyone have another email? All reviews I've read to date say Ana is amazing...is there an email for her?

I finally contacted the company I booked them through today. They gave e a weddings.mex email so ive also tried this route. I'm just really frustrated with how good the communication was, then when everyone was paid in full it got a bit more delayed and then four weeks before and no one will get back to us. I've been trying to confirm an additional two people to come just for the wedding and cancel the DJ, which now probably won't happen with the "lack of" notice.

If anyone has contact info I would really appreciate it.

Leslie

Hi!!  Sorry to hear about the stress you're dealing with.  From reading this thread, it's not uncommon to not get a reply for 2 weeks, but I totally get that you need a response now since your wedding is only 2 weeks away!

If it helps, I'm sure that most decisions can be made once you get to the resort.

Have you booked the resort's DJ, Nick Canos?  I just cancelled him too... took over a month to do that.  Vanessa emailed me saying that she'll cancel him for me, and then Ana messaged me asking if I have heard back from the DJ.  I then asked her to cancel him for me, which she said she'd do.  I have emails from both Vanessa and Ana saying that they cancelled him for me so I hope there's no confusion once I get there!

If you're needing a response before you leave, I would either send another email or just call them.  Otherwise, if it's something that you can deal with in person once you get there, I'd just wait.  Honestly I think the most important thing right now is for you to be as calm and relaxed as possible before your big day.  Don't sweat the small stuff :)  I know that's VERY hard to do when you're a bride... I'm having trouble staying stress-free too.

Hi Amanda,

I have read posts from a few brides back in 2013 who were planning 2014 weddings and were shocked to find the price change so drastic. All of the ladies emailed ana begging her to honour the previous year's prices.  One bride was successful, but i believe her wedding was very early in the year (first few days of january) and the other wasn't entirely successful but I think that the were willing to work with her to lower some of the prices.  In the end it does say at the bottom of all of the wedding package lists that "prices are subject to change without notice"…so they've got us there.  The good news is that this resort's wedding prices are so much cheaper than may of the others!!  We haven't booked yet but planning to book this week for april 2015 so ill be in the same boat as you!

Hi everyone!

We leave for Mexico in less than 48 hours!!  I'm so excited, nervous, anxious...all sorts of emotions!! :)

Communication with Ana has gone well over the last few weeks.  It's true what others have said that they crunch down on you as your wedding approaches.  All details have been settled and we have a meeting scheduled with her the day after we arrive. I can't wait to see how everything turns out.  I'm sure everything will be great and even if there are some little glitches here and there, I'm not gonna stress over it.

If anyone has any questions, don't hesitate.  I'll be sure to write a post when we arrive to let you know how it went.

Congratulations!  I'm so excited for you!!  I'm sure everything will turn out amazing!  Please come back and write a review for us when you get home :)

Just wondering - what kind of things did you sort out with Ana right before?  Like right now I'm less than 6 weeks away from departure, and I don't know what/if I need to do before I leave.  I know that you finalize your dinner menu, book your initial meeting with Ana, book a group dinner, book spa appointments and the couples beach dinner before leaving.. but am I missing anything else?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
