Hope things go smoother for you! It sucks that some TA's do this to brides to be.. its like we are prob the last people you want to piss off! I had problems with 2 different TA's, either no replying for weeks or just not giving me answers to my questions, and answering stuff I never asked. So needless to say.. I am still in search of a TA in my area!

Totally! It was taking my TA weeks to get a response from the WC so I finally asked for the WC's contact info. I don't know what the deal was but when I email my WC I hear back instantly!

Things are getting a little better, its always me calling her to ask questions. She's always traveling or on another call. It's still very annoying to me but I have to deal with it, I guess. The company charges a $100 cancellation fee ber booking so I guess I have to make it work somehow.

Wowers, $100.00 cancelation fee? That's crazy. I found that after we made our bookings, everything else regarding our wedding was done through our WC. Our TA actually recommended that. At first I thought that it was strange, but when dealing with the wedding, the WC is the best person to go through. We only talk to our TA now in regards to the actually travelling part.

Sorry about your troubles sad.gif

I had the same problem, we unfortunately were stuck with her. But I was determined not to let that ruin it for the rest of my guests. So I had a recommendation from another bride on here and booked another TA to finish the rest of our bookings and plans. She has been wonderful, I just wish I had found her sooner. At least you still have plenty of time before your date.

Best of luck.

I can sympathize, our TA is terrible also. She recently sent me a list of all the guests, which room they are staying in, dates, and airport. Peoples dates are wrong, names are wrong, airport codes are wrong. She claims their system can't update fast enough. What the heck!!

She sent out a mailing to all of people interested in going to Jamaica, that included prices, etc. She showed us the mailing she was going to send, but it was nothing like what we thought. It looked like a kindergarten project, she cut out pics of the resort and taped them on the front of the paper. Nothing was straight, and words were abbreviated. Everyone was so confused.

The list she recently sent me said one of my guests had left two messages to book flight, why didn't she return their call no one should have to call twice.

she is always on vacation and out of the office. They need a way to communicate when they are out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
