Help!

We are getting married April 17, 2013 at the Grand sunset princess/Gazebo.  We want the beach reception but isn't/shouldn't this be included in the wedding package now we have to pay an extra $85/per person on top the Princess package ($1500)?

Hey, unfortunately the beach and chill out parties are not included in your package. The only thing included are the al-la carte restaurants. Total rip off, yes... but I've heard that both the beach and chill out parties are incredible!

Hi Ladies,

I just wanted to send a quick note about our wedding here at Grand Sunset Princess... I have dealt with Pilar for the past 13 months planning and I have to say everything was perfect. Everything was beyond our expectations and it seriously turned out to be our dream wedding. We went with the Chill Out Party, and if anyone is thinking of doing it, I highly suggest you fork out the money and do it. It's sooooo worth it! We have 46 people come and every single person said they have not been to such a gorgeous wedding/reception.

If anyone has questions please just ask!

Thank you!

You must be getting excited!!

I honestly had written everything down and printed off all final agreements and brought them with us, we met with the WC the 2nd day we were there to go over absolutely everything! You can make last minute changes etc when you meet with her as well if you change your mind on anything at all.

The day goes very smoothly and very fast! Your WC is there every step of the way to tell you when to do things, where to do things etc.

Do you know if you are getting your dress pressed there? I had booked an appointment but they never came so I had to rush to get it pressed the day of the wedding quickly, so just keep on top of them there. They are really good but sometimes they work on 'mexican time' LOL

Hi Ladies! We have booked our wedding for April 20 2013 and we are so excited! The Wedding Coordinator at Grand Sunset Princess have exceeded our expectations thus far. Initially we were working with Pilar but only for the introduction to the wedding packages choices and deposit. The regular wedding coordinator Jacqueline has been wonderful and prompt in responding to my emails. I have just chosen our preferences for our wedding package Magical $2000 which includes honeymoon suite, bride boquet grooms boutinere hair and make up reception dinner  late check out nuptual breakfast etc.

The additional costs will follow once you actually make the deposit of $200 USD. They will email you Legal Depts. address and you have to email them to get the legal requirement breakdown which isn't anything surprising. The blood test that you have to take is $300 extra and you have to pay i think $60 for the judges gas to get to the resort. The legal dept rep is very kind and prompt in her replies as well. She is very helpful and informative. If you need witnesses they are $10 extra and you book them through the resort and not the legal dept. Just let your Wedding Coordinator know when you book the wedding. As far as the legal stuff goes, with the blood test they just make sure there aren't any serious diseases or that you are related. The obvious. We were a little hesitant because of getting stuck with a needle but people do it frequently so it mellowed our concern seeing how many people get married there.

The restaurant choices were a little stressful due to lack of knowledge of the food aspect however we went practical and safe. We decided that if people wanted to be a little adventerous with the restaurants throughout the remainder of their stay they can at their leisure but not for the reception dinner.

If you have any questions I will try to help!

Hi Brandie28

I read that you had a great time at your wedding and are keeping all of us nervous brides at ease. My fiance and I are still debating whether we want the Chill out or the Beach party for our reception? Do you have any pictures of your big day I can look at? That would be greatly appreciated so I can get a vision of a recent wedding there.

Thank you!

Hi STARBRIDE! You bet I do. Do you have an email address I can send them to? The only reason we didn't choose the beach party is because we werent sure if it was going to be too windy or not. In the chill out area you have a bit more around you to prevent the wind a bit. We had candles at our reception that we couldn't light because it was really windy that night.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
