Tropical Pictures-HELP!!

Recommended Posts

I was just reading that Tropical Pictures, the resort photographer for Dreams PC, charges $1000 for the rights to your photos. I was curious if that is on top of the package? We we looking at doing the $500 smallest package with them to save money. We were debating between them and Photo Souvenir, but Photo Souvenir's smallest package was $1200, but they include the rights to the photos in that charge. Obviously we would like to go with Photo Souvenir if Tropical Pictures is going to charge $1500..HELP!

Where did they tell you that it is 1000 dollars extrs thats CRAZZZYY!!huh.gif

I am looking into my options right now and photosouviner is looking pretty good to me! I mean i have a tight budget but there 1250 package is a pretty good deal.... better than what the resorts offer....... But if you are really trying to save costs then ask them what the deal is?? Also I notice your wedding is a week away.... are you sure photosovenir is avaliable?? I know I have to fill this booking form out and all that if I want to reserve them................

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!

I saw someone else had posted on here they paid $1000 for the rights, I don't know if that was on top of their package or what. I e-mail Tropical Pictures to see what they said. I had PhotoSouvenir booked until about 3 weeks ago when I freaked out about money and cancelled! I don't really need 200 pictures, we are going to have so many guests taking picturs, I just want a few professional artsy shots to frame. I e-mailed photo souvenir this morning to see if they are still available!

I am confused as to where you heard that Tropical Pics charges an extra $1000 for the rights to the pics? I haven't heard / seen this anywhere. I know that after choosing the package you can choose your photo's and then talk to them about getting all of them on a CD- but I didn't know that it would be that much?!

I was most likely going to use them due to budget and then hope for the best also, but if you know more - please let me know!

Thanks!

hi ladies, i just came back from my wedding at Dreams.

Tropical Pictures was onsite the whole time and i was able to view some of their work. They had posted a few of their wedding shots and they were nice, but nothing really shouted 'what a shot'. If you're concerned more about budget, then stick with TP. If stunningly beautiful pictures are more your thing, go with photosouvenir. TP pales in comparison.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
