did I read that right?? they charged you for the sheer fabric on the pier gazebo

they didn't charge me.. it was included in the free wedding from what I understand. unless you requested white versus cream or whatever was free for me... (i have no idea.. haha) it was all perfect anyways...

Both did their ceremonies down the beach (in the permanent and the portable gazebos). We were going to do the portable gazebo, but you really don't get any privacy there. If you care about privacy the dock is the best place. We had absolutely no looky-loos! I got my dad to go out and save the beds close by that morning, and we had such a private ceremony. Both also did not have a private reception, and both had the majority of guests staying off the resort. The night-life at EDSS is not raging, and so as soon as their dinners were done, both brides and about 20 of their guests (10 each maybe) were hanging around the bar. Both looked dissapointed.

I am so glad that you guys were happy with the pier gazeboo for a location... It's funny how we all agree it's the best location.. but bearly anyone picks it... I would have hated the beach location, however I do admit, I sat there and watched two weddings... (mostly to figure out what me and my new hubby agreed to since the ceremony was a blur.. haha)

Yep...they did. The sheers were cream too!! I tried to find the 'free sheers' in my barrage of wedding emails and couldn't find them....so in the end I resigned to pay the $75 for them. I even asked if they were free (because I thought they were) and they told me the best they could do was give us them for $75.

              BAH!

              Oh well.....good to know.....now!

I am so jealous for all of you with weddings still to come. I wish I was going back : (

Also, our photog posted a slideshow from our day.....so you can check out more pics!

Now I want to go back even MORE!

I asked for white...and got cream?!?

Oh well, in the end it was worth it.

                  BEST WEDDING EVER!

We're in the process of putting together our slideshow and our guest gifts for everyone who came to the wedding. Are you guys doing anything special for your guests to thank them for coming?

I seen his pics and if you are the right person, I seen some of your as well and they are beautiful! If you don't mind me asking what you paid for him, to fly out and all. I'm still looking for a photographer and I loved the TTD at the cenote. I would love to do that! Sorry hope I'm not being to upfront right off the start. Thanks! Oh and my name is Jodi
                    So Jodi,
How much planning have you got around to all ready?? I know as soon as I picked the resort I was off like a crazy person finding exactly what I wanted and all that fun stuff! I think I actually have everything down pat that I would like.. but then again things can always change considering I have 6 months left before the big day... I was just curious how planning was coming along and if we could help you out with anything!!! Let us know!

I can't remember if I have asked this before or not.. but did you girls need anything other than your blood test and passport? No birth certificates or anything like that? And also I was wondering about your marriage certificates... if you had them translated there and fed-exed back to you here or did you just have someone certified back where you live translate it and stamp and seal it and all that? Just wondering if I should have the resort do it or just take it back home with me and have someone here do it... any advice ladies?? Thanks!
