Sheraton Timeshares

Hello Cabo Brides!

I am looking at utilizing timeshare options for my wedding guests at the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar. Anyone have words of wisdom on timeshares vs. booking hotel rooms? I've heard if you contact the owners of the timeshares directly, you can get pretty reasonable rates for a week. Any info. you have would be helpful! Thanks!

I haven't used the Sheraton Timeshares but have heard good things. My FMIL has a timeshare which we use all the time. We are usaing it for our wedding. The rates are so much more reasonable and you can also cook alot of your own food to save money.

  • 3 weeks later...

The timeshare units are on the same property as the hotel rooms at the sheraton. The timeshare section is called the hacienda del mar wheras the hotel rooms are the sheraton...it's all the same but they try and differentiate a little bit.

My mom's friend had a timeshare there so our last 2 days in cabo we stayed at the timeshare. It okay but not spectacular...that could have just been our room though or our level of timeshare that we got? The hotel rooms looked nice and the grounds are absolutely stunning! I thought this place so so beautiful!!! It's just the timeshare room itself was just old style spanish and the bedroom was up next to the walkway with a service entrance at the end of it so it was loud...

Timeshare is a great option - they generally are nicer acommodations than hotel rooms. Check with the owner you rent from though - some charge you a daily maid fee, not sure about Sheraton. It would be a great way to go for your guests if you can find enough rentals available.

Best of luck.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
