March 2009 Brides

Recommended Posts

Okay... I've seen the January brides thread and the May brides but where are the March 2009 brides?

We're down to the last 6 months and it's time to represent!

Where is everyone in the process?

Maybe we can start with when and where our DW are and if you are honeymooning somewhere else.

What have you done so far? STD's, invitations, flowers, cake, etc.

Hiram and I are taking the plunge March 23 at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios in Jamaica. So far we've only booked our time (3pm) and sent out save the dates. Started the wedding website as well. I've looked at the available flower packages and reception options but since we don't know how large a group we'll have yet, we haven't made any final decisions.

Hello I am March 2009 at the RIU-Montego bay. I received my confirmation back in June and sent out my STD at that time as well. My invites are being worked on and I plan to send those out by the ending of October. My website was completed in early July and I have about 3/4 of my guests booked. We did a link into our wedding website so people can just go in any pay their installments at their leisure. Self-service! I have pretty much everything picked out (flowers, cakes, favors, photography, parasols, chair covers. sahes, all deco,e tc), I just have not ordered them yet. I am paralysed because at that point everything becomes final. I have selected my dress and will go to the boutique tomorrow to see how it looks and if that is a bust I have 2 back-up selections. I have been in touch with the hotel and reserved my Spa package, photography and sent samples of my cake.

There is still a TON of things to do and there is, however, in theory I have a lot of wheels churning simultaneously but have to put it altogether now.

Best of Luck!smile36.gif

Okay, so it sounds like you have accomplished more than me. I do have the dress, forgot to mention that. It's hanging in my bedroom in it's garment bag until alteration time. I'm so jealous that you have that many people that have booked. We haven't heard much at all from people. I am assuming most won't be able to make it.

Either way, I can't wait!

Hello,

My Wedding is on March 7, 2009. Our STD was mailed out in June and our invitations were mailed in August. I have chosen my wedding dress but like most Brides, I am dieting so I have scheduled measurements and first fitting for December 2008.

I ordered my flowers from Hibiscus Florals in September and they are due to arrive in January. My bridesmaids dress/fabric was chosen in September and they will wear the barefoot sandals. My FI and the other guys have taken care of their attire as well. And our photographer is courtesy of Sungold photography (WPAJ), booked in September.

I will mail our documents to Riu Palace Tropical Bay Resort this week. The Resort was closed for upgrades and is due to reopen on December 5, 2008. All other details are minor.

I plan to keep it simple with the beach decorations and steel band, semi private reception and disco rental.

Good luck and congratulations on your engagement!

Hi Ladies-

My wedding is on March 20th at the Royal in Playa del Carmen, Mexcio. We've sent the STDs, and will send the invitations at the end of December.

I have the OOT bags, my dress, and booked my photographer.

I'm still searching for ideas on cakes & flowers. Our reception will be on the beach.

Congratulations to all of you!

Happy Planning!

Hello there! I will be getting married March 15 2009 in Nuevo Vallarta at Casa Salamandra. I'm a little behind on the invitations and am sending those out this week (I did send my save the date cards a long while ago). I have my WC working on the florals and decorations as well as the catering details.

I have scheduled my hair stylist and baker, although I have no idea what I am going to have them do!

It feels like I have so much left to do and so little time!

Good luck with your planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
