I love Costa Rica! Haven't been to Cuba or Argentina. You are a lucky girl! I just told Bryan we need another honeymoon and he was not too cooperative!
Dreams would probably work too. I guess it depends on how much time we think we will be spending there.

You totally deserve another honeymoon. Maybe after the glow from the first one wears off he'll be wanting another. :)

You know...they never asked us which one we wanted. although I think the ones with the jacuzzi's were on the first floor (at least that is what i could tell from looking over our balcony). That being the case I don't think I would have wanted to be on the first level. the plunge pool was cool...it was not cold or hot..just right. also to there is a jacuzzi down outside of the workout room for all guests!

Ok, I just check out Casa Velas on Trip Advisor. It looks so nice! I had no idea it was rated #2 in all of PV. I feel like I totally missed out and should have stayed there for our honeymoon. It looks like a perfectly relaxing place for a honeymoon!

We decided on Casa Velas because of all the reviews especially Andi's. We chose the one with the plunge pool because we like to be on high floors...

Hi all, hope everyone is doing ok.

My fiancee and I finally decided on a location, date, plan, etc. for our wedding. We're completely psyched about it as it's our style...smile29.gif

Only problem now is that I am tasked with figuring out a good honeymoon spot from there...At first, I thought St. Lucia looked good, but the travel requirements seem extreme.

Anybody have ideas for honeymoons from PVR? I'd like to get out of Mexico and either in the Caribbean, Hawaii, or even other exotic ideas...Thanks!

Hey there! We wanted to get out of Mexico too, but found that we were losing too much time in one day with connections and flight times. We ended up honeymooning in Cabo, which was a quick connection flight through Guadalajara. What we liked about it was that it has a totally different feel, and we didn't feel at all like we'd just moved from one Mexican resort to another. We loved both locations, and enjoyed the different vibe and the different activities we could do in each place. We did an AI in PV and a non-AI in Cabo, which also mixed things up a bit. We also looked into hopping from the Pacific side of Mexico to the Gulf side... but depending on your wedding date, hurricane season can cause issues June-November. Cabo and PV don't see many hurricanes, so they're great locations all year round. Happy planning and good luck!

Like Queenie, we wanted to honeymoon outside of Mexico, but didn't want to spend so much time traveling. Therefore, we spend our honeymoon in the Riviera Maya. I highly recommnend the resorts in the Playa del Carmen area. We stayed at the Grand Velas Riviera Maya and ohh boi! it was an amazing experience...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
