Eurostar Blue Tulum...any brides out there?

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am lost and frustrated. We are getting married at the Blue tulum in March. We are receiving different information from the manager and Angelina. They seem to be making up the wedding costs as they go along and of course, we are skeptical of everything after the current change of ownership fiasco. Does anyone have any insight?

Thank you.

I'm not sure if this is the same resort, but I saw this on one of the Tulum forums--it may explain why they are cancelling weddings after April 15, 2009..

From Seduction Tulum Resort | Gay and Lesbian Resort Hotel | Riviera Maya Mexico

Seduction Resort and Spa is set to open on April 16th. This is going to be the first and, so far only Gay and Lesbian, clothing optional resort in the Riviera Maya. The property was formerly the reowned upscale resort Blue Tulum Resort and Spa. The owners have ensured that the same incredible high quality and luxurious facilities, amenities and of course cuisine will remain - however Seduction Tulum will solely cater to the Gay and Lesbian community.

Seduction Tulum is set to be a fantastic resrt in Tulum, Riviera Maya. The surrounding area is so incredibly beautiful and the privacy that the resort offers ensures guests will have a truly carefree vacation in a very upscale resort.

Seduction Resort and Spa Tulum coming soon!

Well, I guess I'm definitely glad they cancelled our honeymoon! We would not have fit in! haha I do wish they had been more forthcoming, not so mysterious. It was quite angst-ful waiting to hear. We did get a full refund and are now booked for Dreams Tulum. Good Luck!

Well after having been canceled by Angelina for my May 23rd wedding, the post about the "new concept" made total sense...until I got an email from Angelina yesterday - here's what she wrote:

Wow! smile43.gif This resort just can't seem to make up its mind! Such a shame because it looks so beautiful but you couldn't pay me to have my wedding there in May! You just never know what will happen with them! I have decided to actually do my wedding in Naples, FL instead of Mexico.

To all those with weddings before April 15th, you guys have nothing to worry about and I'm sure your weddings will be beautiful! Make sure to post pictures when you come back!!! :)

I am thinking about canceling my room block and welcome dinner at Blue Tulum. They have been really difficult to deal with--not returning emails and being evasive about questions I've asked. Also, since changing ownership they have been getting really bad reviews on Trip Advisor. Is anyone else still sticking with them?

Hi Sarah,

Sorry it look me so long to respond - we canceled as well - or should I say, Angelina canceled us and then tried to re-book us...after everything that happened, I said no thanks!

We actually moved our destination to Negril, Jamaica - I loved Mexico but there were just so many problems for us!

I hope you have a wonderful wedding in Tulum!!! And blazn, hope you have a wonderful honeymoon in Mexico!

Thanks for all of your help!

Claudette

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
