ceremony location on Excellence Playa Mujeres

Recommended Posts

I asked the wedding coordinator a few questions. I hope this answers some of your questions too.

1)I'm a little worried that the ceremony sites aren't secluded enough, but have anybody else had problems with it?

1. Do not worry about the sites, at the time of the ceremonies the people is getting ready in their rooms for having dinner. Most of the weddings that I had nobody is around.

2)The included dinners in the packages are 20 people max. How much is it per person over 20 people?I'm plannng to have around 30 guests.

2. The charge per additional guest staying at the property is $45 usd, it includes the Cocktail Hour, the private dinner (3 hours of open premium bar) and the cake

3)I'd like to have private reception on the beach with lounge set up (resembling your xlounge) and dance floor. Is this possible

3. For Receptions on the beach we need a minimum of 60 people, but depending on the number of the people I can offer you our Sol bar, please find enclosed some pictures of it, in the pictures we have a set up with tables but we can have the lounge set up with an extra charge depending on the number of people.

4)I heard that there were no fireworks/firedancers/sparklers allowed in the property. Can you give me entertainment suggestions for the reception?

4. Yes, the fire dancers are allowed at the property on the beach area and also we have some fireworks but I do not how to call them in English, itâ€s “cold pyrotechnicsâ€.

5)Do you charge for hiring outside vendors, such as photographers and entertainers?

5. Yes, we charge $100 usd per person and I need to know in advance so they can have access to the hotel with no problem.

I wonder if there are differences between Excellence Playa Mujeres and Excellence Riviera Cancun. Last week I was told by the WC at ERC that we would only have to pay the $70 day pass for an outside vendor.
There are two options for the day pass - half day or full day. The WC at ERC most likely quoted you the half day price.

I actually visited EPM last August to check out there wedding location. The gazebo is at the end of the resort and pretty seculded. In my opinion it looks horrible in all the pics sent by the wedding planner but it is lovely in person without any additions to dress it up. Also there is a beach location if thats what you choose to do but the water isn't quite as nice as other hotel located in Cancun, which is were I stayed over the summer when I visited. The wedding planner Naylie is great and I as completely satified with everything when I visited. If you need pictures I can PM me becasue I took them while I was there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
